Celcom and digi have to return band 7 to gov after few years..
Hence, for new consolidate tower... The freq will be

20mhz of 1800mhz from digi
20mhz of 1800mhz from celcom
10mhz of 900mhz from celcom
15mhz of 2100mhz from celcom
15mhz of 2100mhz from digi

All celcom and digi users can use the frequency seamlessly..
But not combined for the CA

Mean a digi user 4G+ can be 15+20+10 from celcom freq OR 15+20 from digi freq

Now they got no issue for this but the path to core network is congested... Y? Becoz celcomdigi decided to reuse digi transport network back to core instead of build a new one or etc. This caused celcom users also rely on existing digi transport...

Consequences is... Both celcom and digi users having slow internet even though the signal is full 4G+

Those who.are saying no issue now then beware as ZTE havent swap ur tower (huawei for eastern sourthern and east malaysia)

My opinion it depends on the configuration of the tower... Not the brand of the tower ...

For eg... Some tower configure 32t32r and some 4t4r... Of coz 32t32r will be less congest n faster transmit phone request to /from internet

Now CDB issue is.... The throughput from backbone is seriously congested... And CDB slow to upgrade....

I even saw they just upgrade a route from 1gbps to 10gbps for serving 20+ sites.... Can u imagine the users under 20+ tower only served by 1gbps bandwidth before upgrade?😂

The path has to be certain criteria to let marketing agree to expand the link...

Eg always 70% for the past 3 weeks...
If midvalley only congest at weekend but not weekday.. then the link will be remained ... Lol

Im not agree with u. U can blame telco but din blame the apps itself.

U have to prove that ur usage behaviour and the app version is totally same as previous year before u conclude that.

Actually celcomdigi has been weird for doing this

Other telco have revamp their all plan to 5g accessible
Of coz they do have old plan but without appear in their official web and only 4g capable, eg unlimited 4g plan, speed limit plan like umobile gx plan

But both celcom and digi currently still posting same last decade 4g plan (mix and match) and next which is not 5g allowable (u cant even buy booster for these plan).

Weird rite?
Initially im angry against their strategy... Now im ok with it after i found their rm48 (rebate rm8 for next purchase) plan..

If u still want stick with celcom or digi and wanna 5g, just use the rm48 plan. Else stick with lower price plan and stay 4g or port out for other rm35 38 5G plan.
All these given flexibility for CD users to choose d.

I been advise my family to port out when i saw UM 38 120GB but they din even plan to switch (while they keep complain about no 5g). But after i saw them accept the rm48 plan then i just no comment as decision is on theirs.

Talk back to celcom digi such strategy...
One of the reason is the consolidate of their network is still ongoing especially the costing on 5G NSA...
Their core network is still not been consolidated and if wanna boost 5G users... Payment has to made for previous vendor which is wasteful as they gonna reuse ZTE for future... impossible they expand the existing network due to 5G traffic at core network is spike...

So just follow gov strategy... Cincai release a new Celcomdigi postpaid with all 5G accessible but limit the speed(cos still using old network)... So we have to wait 1 more year to have real 5G speed plan after all celcom and digi users using the new CD network...

(Celcomdigi will build a totally new PS core and 5GC and IMS to cater both celcom and digi users... So both users will experience superior interruptions until the migration is completed )

Their marketing plan has big issue by release celcomdigi plan to min RM80 per month...(this is due to old celcom marketing leading celcomdigi marketing department now and old celcom postpaid plan min is rm80...now we know who is the issue)


U have to split to 3 marketing department in celcomdigi now

Existing celcom marketing
Existing digi marketing
New celcomdigi marketing

For human being, change either plan initiated by 1 department will be objected by other 2 dept

Who u want they improve the plan? I believe that they sendiri also duno

10Mhz is around 75mbps for 2T2R (2 transmitting from telco site and 2 receiving from ur phone) and 150mbps for 4T4R

Based on new celcomdigi site, you can archieve this easily.

Note: Like i comment before, it really depends on telco budget to setup the tower... it can be slow till 100mbps only for a tower (33mbps in inbuilding) or max till 600mbps...

My dad port from digi to UM also facing same issue.. but since it is prepaid and UM line is active... We also dun care the shzt SMS...
