anyone can tell what is this all about?
my digi in grace period, so can't click at this moment..  sad.gif
it says until 31 january..
if rm5 is for 30 days, then i'm getting it..
it's in BoS since yesterday...  icon_question.gif

Rm5 for daily 5gb + 12gb 1AM to 7AM, really not worth it

https://community.digi.com.my/t5/Prepaid/Ye...Miss/ta-p/86666

If you want to get 30 days validity with data the cheapest is to subscribe rm15 plan with always active

*
Exactly. Even when you have unlimited calls and data, if your credit balance is RM0.00 you cannot use any service at all

This is why when you change from digi postpaid to prepaid, you will have balance of RM0.01

Apologies if I ask a basic question:

On my BigBonus 35, if my main data quota 6GB is already used up, based on experience - Does it totally stop , or just throttle.

Cause I got 2 answers.

From CS: It will stop, only able to use the 1Pm-7pm BigBonus hours
From Digi site:
https://www.digi.com.my/support/tnc/interne.../internet-plans
I'm 2 weeks away from my next renewal and my main 6gB data is already at 40%  cry.gif
*
Check your mydigi app, does it have free basic internet? If yes, your data should continue but slowed down to 64kbps. But why didn't you claim the free daily 1gb? If your data consumption is not towards social media and gaming, the free data will be used, thus saving your main data. Dial *338#

QUOTE(tympg @ Jan 7 2021, 02:44 PM)
All Digi packages with data quotas, both prepaid and postpaid, will come to a dead halt when the quota is reached.

Only very old prepaid plans had PAYU data which was very dangerous for unsuspecting users.
*
I thought only postpaid user will not be able to use internet when their data quota is depleted? Prepaid data, with free basic internet will continue at 64kbps while older plan will be payu

Hi ohtheirony,
Yeap, it does have the 500MB free internet.
Currently I'm running on Prepaid Live - So it doesn't have that Midnight daily 1GB .

Actually I do claim the Free 1GB, but its because of heavy usage - As high as 1.5GB within a day,

In the past I used to claim the free 1GB early in the morning,
so yes, the 1GB gets used up within half a day, if lucky, can survive till midnight - and that's not depending on the Big 1-7pm quota.

But now i strategist to claim the Free 1GB after around 5-6pm so that it uses the Big 1-7pm bonus first. However that leaves for main data to be exposed from morning till 1pm.
Dunno if that's a smart move or not.

Heavy usage, because kids use Youtube (MCO - School not yet reopen) , and sometimes play Roblox , which I notice it consume quite a chunk of data.
Somehow if my Video Freedom data is used up, it will use the Free Daily 1GB , even on Youtube or Roblox. Tested already, confirmed.
*
Youtube... Some gets the box of surprise plan with unlimited youtube, if you are lucky digi will offer you the plan for just rm15.

How about changing your plan from bigbonus rm35 to cili padi rm35? For the same price, rather than getting 8gb + 2gb 1pm - 7pm, you get 6gb + 3gb internet promo plus unlimited youtube. Good only if youtube grabs majority of your data pool, if roblox consume more then...

... to avoid headache just subscribe to digi unlimited 3mbps prepaid with unlimited calls at rm35, also thru box of surprise iinm...

I wonder why your bigbonus rm35 only gets 6gb plus 1gb 1pm - 7 pm, while the digi site states a higher value as mentioned above.

Hello all, I couldn't find Digi Internet Freedom reviews on lowyat yet so I thought I would like to say I applied for Digi RM90 50mbps. Been using it for nearly a month. Fire away your questions if you got any.

I can't fully review the internet since... it's all good so far? I'm waiting for some hiccups, that would be fun to write about. Oh, as for the speeds, I am getting 47ish mbps download and 26ish mpbs upload. Still miles better than Unifi's RM89 30mbps download and 10mbps upload.
*
That's because you are not in the correct section

Sorry for the late reply .
Just FYI: My BigBonus 35 comes with 6GB + extra 2GB free and daily 2GB .
Plus every month I get 2-3GB Loyalty data (but sadly it will be consumed first) .

Detail explanation as below:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So for now, as an effort to minimize the main data, I will have to rajin2 redeem the Free 1GB every morning. smile.gif
*
You should stop removing the sim from your router as it may ruin the slot from wear and tear

Perhaps getting another sim is better for the time being while they are still giving the free daily 1gb

If your house has strong Unifi 4g signal, this is the best choice as it only costs you sim and no monthly fee. Otherwise, yoodo is good too, sim is free for snail mail or rm2 from 99speedmart, rm3 monthly for 50sms and you get to claim free data. Both choice lets you claim data by apps

Just asking, what device did your child use for yt and roblox? Pc or mobile? If mobile, you can use the sim lock to control your child internet time, at the same time not blocking your child from using the device for other purposes except for internet, call and SMS

Overall - I am looking , after end of March, when the Free 1GB is over, looking at possibilities how to cope without dependency on the Free 1GB.
FYI - We have total of 3 main data line in the household  laugh.gif - Hotlink, Yoodo, and this Digi.
Unifi is just backup.  biggrin.gif

As for now, me and my wife have discussed this over, and initiated Plan B - discipline them to reduce their addiction on the hand-phone.
*
The end of free daily 1gb data will be a bummer, but telco offers variety of plan in the past 12 months, and the average value is rm1 per gb so agreed, need to plan from now

When the school reopens you will see mass reduction of your child internet usage too so in the next two months you should monitor consumption, then you can adjust your child internet plan

Lets wait tomorrow for announcement, if nothing changes time to discipline your child to sleep early, almost a year without waking up early to school, if you dont practice now you are going to have a bad time tongue.gif

Update: Looks like this is gonna be long term - Just received a PDF circular from the MOE.
Inside it says the following:
https://www.moe.gov.my/en/pemberitahuan/med...dikan-bawah-kpm

Which means they gonna use something like Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
Have yet to receive response from the school teacher.

Translate to : Expect higher usage of general quota . And Youtube.  cry.gif

BTW, Digi gave me this Box of Surprise - BigBonus 18GB and 3GB per day for Rm 48.
And I'm like 9 days away from renewing.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Normally its 12GB , 3GB per day for RM 50.
Just recently, i found out that Yes 4G have a new postpaid , 100GB all day for RM 50.  drool.gif  drool.gif
Which means I need a Yes 4G compatible modem.  smile.gif ..still considering..
*
Rm48 per month... Normally the plan is either:
1. Rm40 for 9gb + 3gb daily, or
2. Rm50 for 9gb + 3gb daily + unlimited calls

Perhaps you should check how much data the online class app is using, because the 3gb is limited to only 6 hours, and usually class is in morning so pretty much useless

Yes postpaid is also excellent if you use it as static internet source, if your coverage is excellent at home then no reason not to

Or you may consider celcom internet go, for rm45 + sst (which is almost equivalent to the offer you get from digi) the plan gives 15gb all usage plus unlimited video calls on certain apps, all day. However, you should check if they allow hotspot, because celcom is fussy, unlimited apps most of the time is limited to mobile usage

That is stay active, not always active. Its just a phrase, stay active means stay connected or something like that la

People are looking for always active to get a whole month of validity for only rm10. For raja video plan, rm15 gives a month of validity, and obtainable from bos

Plus redeeming the 1gb free data does not entitles you to a week of validity

The difference is no greater than 10gb compared to equally pricing celcom mega plan. I would not call digi as generous anymore. Plus xpax prepaid also has just4me, equivalent to digi bos, and the data offered is more compared to normal prepaid plan

Digi --> standalone tower --> no MNVO --> smooth!

Celcom --> many MNVO using their tower --> congested!

If it happens you pass by Celcom tower then slow down!
If it happens you pass by Digi tower then smooth!

So merger no good if you are a Digi subscriber.

So merger is good if you are a Celcom subscriber.
*
Before merger digi is bad at my place, KL summore

With digi my free data usually has 30% left at the end of day

With celcom usually I manage to finish it before going to bed

And mvno xox also has no problem surfing, digi sangkut2

More like Data quota being sucks faster@used more in Celcom than Digi..
That's why always finished faster than Digi got 30% balance 😁

Same case with Maxishit too...
Drain faster...
*
I'm not anak mat sabu, go ask him some weed

Smooth sailing, data finish fast

Sangkut2, data finish slow

Using free data for non famous social app in Malaysia, personal experience celcom > digi

Really regret suffering under digi this pkp until decided to get 2 years validity with celcom

Again, personal experience, some place x is better than y, some place y is better than x, just counter arguing people who insists y is always better than x anywhere

I see the NEXT 35 is prepaid. This one is reload howmuch?

Then i compare with postpaid 40. postpaid gives 10gb vs prepaid gives 30gb.
What is the differences? prepaid cheaper and give more internet, am i right?
*
People prefer postpaid over prepaid even though the data is fewer because:

1. Company subsidies
2. Bundle with phone plan
3. Don't want hassle of reloading
4. Other personal reasons

If you need more data at lower price, prepaid and mvno is the answer

pkp time...
every telco got issues..
don't BS saying only Digi... since WFH & online schooling...

and don't spin...
u says data finished fast...
same time says got free data (which normally allocated for certain apps only)... so that one won't really would finished - limited apps only can use that data...
so which is which one  puke.gif
*
Which part you didn't understand? And you are the one spinning my word, my experience celcom > digi, not saying in general that digi is bad, I'm just saying at my place based on my experience. If you want the comment that speaks generalization reread Alexleow comments

I used two sim, celcom xpax and digi, both do not purchase any data, xpax got PAYU some more, use only with free 1GB data because my usage is not under the banned app

Xpax - 1GB data finished fast, everything loads smoothly with only minor hiccups, I can watch 10 1 minute videos under 11 mins

Digi - 1GB data finishes slow, lots of loading time, 10 1 minute video take ~15 mins to load and watch

Again, my personal experience, this is not a black and white matter, coverage varies from place to place

My initial comment is to combat generalization, to refute the blanket statement

However, his phone is quite old. Samsung Galaxy W.
Can my dad still apply for the Samsung A02 phone subsidy?

According to digi social media staff, if you already select the rm15 line subsidy, you cannot claim for rm300 phone subsidy

Feel free to call Cs and pray that they can help

If you select prepaid, you are required to subscribe to next35 for three months, paid in advance at same time when you buy phone

So, we claim that RM15 credit and if we don't use it. Digi and other telco simply "songlap" the money from government?
*
Good news is for rm180 rebate, if you are not satisfied with the current pricing for rebate claim from the telco, you can request to port out and carry rebate starting the next month to other telco

For example, if you want to spend nothing, simply request port out to other telco that charges nothing such as Unifi (2gb/month + 1gb daily), yes (15gb/month), etc

Only rebate for rm180 is transferrable to other telco. For rm300 rebate, the amount must cover the price of device, so no value to transfer left

If you don't you got PAYU, not sure daily cap is rm3 or rm8

Yes, you have 500mb 64kbps internet per month, and the internet won't forfeit when you subscribe to digi 38 sll

But tbh with hotlink 365 plan every plan with basic internet loses its appeal, since with hotlink you can purchase 10 gb for rm20 and valid for a year, plus high speed some more
