Hii All SIFU&BOSS

Now my Perodua Myvi 2018 1.3 mileage on 36k,The ori brake pad getting not confident.. due on low speed emergency brake...(below 80km/h)i also scared...

Recently searching on BENDIX and TRW OEM brand brake pad,

Bendix got a 3 series like GENERAL CT,METAL KING & ULTIMATE.
Both the review was good but will bend the rotor more faster...?

TRW also got 3 series like ATEC,DTEC,COTEC
I didn't get a some review on that...

Got sifu have review?
Or any recommend brake pad brand?

I prefer more peformance on brake

THANKS!! laugh.gif

I've used metal king when i owned a myvi before.. and it was awesome. Only down side was it leaves quite alot of residu on the tyre due to the nature of the pads. Also long use would ware the disc quite abit. Nevertheless, if you want safety first.. would suggest that due to good braking with reasonable price.

Was using this with combi of a 17" tyre. Ori size tyre wasnt even save during raining period driving. So i had them sized up which provides more traction on the road.

For Bendix, get the Ultimate if available for your car.
TRW I think not so good. I used before on my wife's car, finished too fast.

Other options depends on your budget. Got Trestor Blue which is similar like Bendix. Maybe canntry search for Hawk too. If got much higher budget then can get original Japan Endless, Project Mu, or Acre 300-550° pads.

Hawk and Acre is around 200+. Akebono maybe cheaper. Another Japanese brand is Advics, also around rm200.

Sorry, I don't have myvi, I don't know what price range. Maybe you can try on shopee or Lazada to get some idea. I recommended it because my previous car used it and it was good.

On the first post, you mentioned about TRW, I advice you to ditch it. It is poor quality and unacceptable. My current car is using it as original part, Dtec if I not mistaken.

if u want better grip compared to normal brake pad and want it to last long
get ceramic brake pad
only a handful of manufacturer will be making it since each pads last so long
it's also meant for high speed braking(it doesn't like low speed/traffic jam)
TRW got make, u can try

hmmm.. everyone commenting on brake pads, when the problem is about stopping. Of course natural to assume it's pad related.

But what about tires or other brake system ?

don't just jump to conclusion it's because of the brake pad. Unless it's fully worn (which then u have a screeching noise), the brake pad performance will not vary much.

screeching noise already meant the brake pad is already worn to the metal
that doesn't just affect the brake performance, it's also damaging the disc already

brake pad do have performance difference depending on which one u used
the price that varies will tell u the quality of it
price varies from RM40-200....so don't tell me that wide price gap has no difference

the 1st thing to stop u is the brake pad, the 1st one to wear out is also the brake pad
cheapest is also brake pad...which is why u should start there 1st

Sure, check the brake pads, but also need to check other things lah
e.g leaking brake lines, air in the lines, stuck calipers
