I think Jamal's deal was a smokescreen. Real target was the cheaper Tsimikas perhaps. I think this happen multiple times already during previous purchases. Minamino and Fabinho are case examples.

I just realised that UCL and Europa league are still in progression. UCL final will be on 23rd August and Europa will be on the 22nd.

2020/21 Premier League season will start on 12th September 2020 (barring any problem). That mean, any English teams that progress until the final will only have about 2 weeks of rest before the new season start.

IMHO, it is good for Liverpool not to be involve in this year knockout stage any further as it will definitely strained our players more. Now they can rest and rejuvenate and kick start next season fresher than their main challengers. It is a bit of a disappointment not to continue our journey for UCL this season but it is to me a bit of a blessing in disguise. Klopp would not be happy if he only have about 2 weeks of rest before the new season start...

Pretty sure we will have some more signings and departures. A good backup signing anyway.
