Back a week ago, was approached by Unifi sales representative to switch over to Unifi from Maxis. At that time, he pitched the following :-

1) Free 42" TV πŸ₯°
2) Reimbursement of contract penalty of RM500 πŸ‘
3) Reconnection within 48 hours of termination 😍

Fast forward to now, here is my situation :

1) It has been over 5 days since my fibre with Maxis was disconnected
2) Numerous complaints to the dealer concerned πŸ˜‘
3) 2 complaints to MCMC and still no Unifi 😀
4) Will update again once am finally connected

So for all of you who has yet to make that jump, consider the above and good luck on your decision. Note to self, will definitely port out once my 24 months contract ends 😠

Then my RM500 burnt 😭 so will probably do so only after 24 months

No Time coverage at all. Actually Time was my preferred provider back decade ago before I shifted πŸ˜“

So you did not get free 42" TV. No reimbursement of contract penalty of RM500. Still no connection now?

Using my phone data now πŸ˜“. TV they say will only send after 14 days from installation. RM500 to be rebated over 10 months from first billing

Adoiii. Unfortunately your port is lost. Have to wait till someone decides to terminate or TM decides to increase port capacity in your area. Thats why its imperative to not terminate your old internet before your new internet is installed. Yes, you can have both Maxis and Unifi in same address.

Dealer said must terminate first, not install first then terminate 😀

Later found out he lied as my neighbor actually got installation first before going to disconnect. Moral of the story, their dealers are as untrustworthy as them 😠

Those roadside 'agent' or TM landline called you?

I did my switches/upgrade only when approached by 'real' TM/Maxis people (their landline/email). So far, I get what was offered.

I tend to ignore those agents, cos even I myself have an agent account, all we were told was, get the sales first and commission will come. LOL

Never deal with agents (except if agent got give extra kickback or is a friend.) Direct to TM is the best. All the agent does is key in your details into the system and sit back and wait for commission.

But to be honest, even if direct to TM, also you'd probably have the same problem. LOL.

Actually already asked tons of questions and only after they confirmed and guaranteed only I signed on. How I know they so blatantly lying thru their teeth 😀

Got all our WhatsApp records and promotion brochures, t&c etc. That's why already complain to MCMC 🀞

They're not probably lying, just left hand do one thing, right do another. Worst in your case since they are on different bodies.

I've been with UniFi since 2011. Everytime sometime major happens, sure got glitch one.

Even TIME also, subscribe to them for the first time last year. Also glitch.

TS, now the proper way if you want to switch to Unifi, is through switching method like MNP. What you do is register Unifi at TM website or your trusted agent, don't terminate your Maxis line. Instead once you register Unifi, go to Maxis and apply for switching. Your Maxis line will run until the very same day unifi is install.
This process is still new, and your agent must have screwed up by terminating the maxis line.
Same process goes for people switching from TM to Maxis. Your port will be preserve and no service interruption.

Do you have the copy of the Unifi contract you signed? Make sure to keep it properly and put up a strong fight.

Since your port has been returned and given to someone else, TM is LIABLE for contract breach and they'll have to COMPENSATE you 24 months of full subscription rates for taking away your port and not reinstating it.
This is including the RM500 which they promised to reimburse for your contract termination with Maxis and the 42" TV gift.

The agreement is MUTUAL. Either side who breach the 24 months contract will have to pay the other party the full REMAINING months.

Do file a complain to MCMC and make a police report on this. Even if you lose your port to your neighbors, at least you're compensated.

Please don't be swayed and listen to silly suggestions who are coming from Unifi agents to soften your stance here. Know your RIGHTS, the contract you signed works both ways, either side who can't fulfill will need to compensate the OTHER for breach.
