NAT private IPs have their own advantages and disadvantages compared to public IPs.

If you don't need to host servers via DDNS, don't have CCTVs at home or require exposure directly to the internet, NAT can be more stable if implemented properly.

With public IP you can have a situation like TM where a random IP is assigned to you everytime you disconnect, it's your luck to get a good or bad one every time you reset your modem/power cycle it.

For private IP where they exit though a shared public gateway, the IP is always assigned a good one and managed by the ISP directly so it can provide more stable experience.

Also by hiding behind a NAT, security is also higher you're not directly exposed to outside unless you know what you're doing. Most regular users won't see much difference if they're just doing regular browsing, watching videos and downloading.
