Agile is most popular in software development operations but its hybrids are becoming popular among manufacturers as the world we live in today sees product cycles becoming shorter and it is no longer feasible to use Six Sigma which requires a longer product life cycle.

My company (MNC) system always mixed up. If wanna do improvement, some people use six sigma, some use DMAIC, some use PDCA, some use M3MU. Agile not hear yet but seems promising if manufacturing industry fully utilize it.

This is just a framework to process improvement, not necessary to six sigma only. Every aspect is true and must be tackled but question is how much of it can be applied to your organisation.

Nowadays mostly go lean six sigma already. No point trying six sigma if you don’t make your processes lean first. So first step is kaizen/lean then you go into the six sigma part of it.
