It has rubberised finishing. After 7 years, it became sticky. The only case that i found was YMDK CNC case for filco/old cm87.. quite expensive..

for wire tip band-aid mod, it's better to test the outcomes first. this is because if the tap is too thick it will cause mushiness. i am still experimenting with heat shrink mod. a shorter (5mm) tube will get rid of mushiness, but somehow ticking sound comes back. will adjust the location of shrinks on the tips to see if it helps.

Owh, in my head, i was thinking to use my leftover PTFE tape from piping works... Hehehe..

did you still put dielectric grease on the PTFE tape?

taobao is a good source for almost everything that i use in board tuning, including hex screws, nylon washers, rubber feet, eva foams, ptfe tapes, o-rings, heat shrinks, and others.

actually i`m not sure what has happen to me, ever since i manage to buy keyboard stuff from taobao,
i feel like my interest in mechanical keyboard is growing biggrin.gif
last time i felt like this was back in 2013.
then busy working.

bought keycaps, switches, stablizers and many more from there since early this year.
even manage to get Maxkey SA keycaps base set for RM 230.

my latest work is reviving old CM storm quickfire stealth - bought in 2013
desolder old chery swistches and replace with gateron brown. ( lubed, filmed)
+ lubed costar stabilizer biggrin.gif

mechanical keyboard hobby indeed cost me a lot of money.
and right now i`m thinking of buying GMK set + KBDfans KBD8x mkii devil.gif

can`t decide between GMK Yuri or GMK Serika 2. both are nice but my wallet only can afford 1 set doh.gif
