Your kids enjoyed because is a different environment...just like going for holidays. I doubt they will be playing out most of time after the excitement is over. My friend's swimming pool is gathering dead leaves and the mosquitoes enjoyed more !
This is not to discourage you to buy landed but sharing my perception.
