Hi need some help end of last month I help my foreign worker send money to Myanmar , Western Union using maybank2u, but Western Union for no reason cancelled my transaction and issued refund , but up till now I still din get my money , I called Western Union they said they had already processed the refund money with Maybank , I call Maybank they ask me to call Western Union , so Everytime I called they push me like a ball , then after 4th time calling Maybank they say will call me on yesterday to clarify with me but still no follow up

Anyway I have Western Union acc but my transfer limit reached so I forced to try Maybank but now kena liao, usually if Western Union cancel they will refund straight back to me in 4 days roughly , I don't help my workers send money usually but out of courtesy due to this pandemic I only help them coz pity them have to go to kl to send money ,

I also use Maybank WU on april this year to help my Indonesian worker send money to his family. But he gave me the wrong name. I called WU customer service and cancelled the transfer. I got the money back in 10 business day.

thanks in that case ill wait longer, my transaction was cancelled on 28may today 10th haven't reach 10 biz days yet.

ask WU if they have refunded? if not use the MTCN code to withdraw at any agent/bank

Ask already they say have completed the refund , but problem is I use Maybank to do wu transaction , if direct use Western Union usually the refund process is very fast , just that they don't have any clear rules , they state monthly limit sending is 30k but from early to mid month I reached around 7k other transactions already unable to go through,call them they say my limit reach , so I have to use Maybank to send ,
Then don't know why din get through also , they just cancel my transaction and refund , but now the refund process have to go back to Maybank then only come to me , but no one is willing to take the responsibility , Maybank ask me to ask Wu , Wu did the same ask me to ask Maybank

I also used western union for international transactions. It is very convenient that no matter where you are or where you have to send to, there’s sure to be a Western Union registered agency not so far away. ya. mine settled i think i received back my money but took long time la, imagine if u need to use money but still on hold. ,convenient if you sent to developed countries, i sent to myanmar abit tricky, u cant use burmese text have to convert using english accurate or not also dont know, sometimes randomly they hold the payment then ask for verification like receivers ic id etc, my direct western union acc limit full , they wont tell u your limit reach. and the limit transaction is way lesser than what is listed in their FAQ, so whenever the limit is reach they still will send over the money, but wait until the receiver go to agent to collect then the money will be bounced back to me, so the receiver side also wasted their own time. thats why i use maybank2u to wu to myanmar, but still kena , and take much longer time to get back refund. cos of maybank act as middle person. so have to refer here and there.

Bro, I am having exactly the same issue, just wanna ask you took how long to get your refund back? Will the refund automatically transfer back to your Maybank acc?
