Malaysia is federalized police force with delegation at state-level and at entitled organisations. On the other hand, America is all about enterprises. Even townships are run as enterprises. Their police forces are separate jurisdictions outright separately owned by "enterprises". That's why they need state-level police force and also national-level police force to step into smaller "enterprise's" jurisdiction.

Police in New York will get lower funding. They already have a huge budget that was not reduced post-covid even though funding for other departments were reduced up to 80%. It should have been reduced in the first place.
