getting more confused by the moment w/ all the diff standards and refresh rates and resolutions and USB Type C Hubs

The MBP16 only has USB Type C and TB3 ports.
I am thinking of getting an external monitor. These monitors only either have HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) connections.

From what I read, HDMI got 2 specs

HDMI 1.4, only 24fps was possible at 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160).
HDMI 2.0 spec, up to 60fps at 4K resolution is possible. This also allows you to view 144Hz at 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) through a HDMI 2.0 connection.

Based on this, anyone has used any USB-C to HDMI cables that would be able to support the HDMI 2.0 spec to the external monitor? Or any cable would do?

Initially I was thinking of just getting those 5in1 etc USB Type C hub (TB3 are v expensive) and use the HDMI port there to connect to the monitor, but all that I have seen is only saying 4k@30Hz which is really quite low. refresh rate.

So basically the question is :

1) Any recommendation for USB Type C hubs?
-> LAN
-> SD/MicroSD slot
-> Power Delivery (100w or enough to charge the MBP)
-> HDMI loh.. can support external monitor at higher resolution

2) USB Type C to HDMI cable that can support higher resolution and refresh rate.

TQ All

Question, why not DP instead of HDMI?

I'm currently using a Macbook Pro 16 connected to a 4K IPS monitor @ 60Hz via USB C (Display Port with PD of 90w to charge my Macbook) - single cable.

USB C Hubs will just draw more power from your Macbook and at the end even the highest PD monitor @ 90w will not be sufficient for your usage. My suggestion is to go with USB C Display Port monitors.

I doubt there is a 100w PD monitor in the market, except the Pro Display XDR or close to 100w is the LG Ultrafine 5K. Highest so far is 90w PD and thats it.

I can get Ultra 4K & HDR on Netflix via Bootcamp. However, be wary of the scaling issues with MacOS on 4K (3840*2160) - icons will be very tiny. Its fine on Bootcamp thou.

Single cable would be my dream but cannot afford that. It's way too expensive to get a USB-C monitor. AFAIK, the USB-C supported monitor that have specs I want: 34in/curved/3840x1440 would be in the vicinity of 3-5k

Some of the monitors I've looked at also has DP, but mostly it is HDMI and thus, if that's the case, to get the connection, most likely it will have to be a few plugs to connect.

1 Cable --> USB-C to DP or USB-C to HDMI(2.0) to Monitor
1 Cable --> USB C Power to MBP
1 Cable --> in case I want to use a SD Card Reader or a LAN Cable etc..etc.. then need a hub.

haiyah..
