High specs need to BTO because it is not a fast-moving product.

If you're using it primarily to run Premier and After Effect with Motion Array templates, you don't actually need a Mac to do the job. High end Windows laptop can do the same thing also and you can get it faster.

So, just few days ago I tried Davinci Resolve. A lot of the motion graphics I want is available and everything has been prepared by some one else. Now, just need a good machine to piece the puzzle together. p/s: I am not in the line of audio/visual industry. Using the edited videos for my business events/corporate functions/etc |

Be wary of the i9
I'm using one myself and the thermal throttling is so bad. |

QUOTE(kavman1984 @ Jun 5 2020, 08:38 AM) I am still learning to edit but I have basic editing skills but high appreciation of art since I can draw. Sometimes, I want my videos to look awesome but I don’t have advance editing skills. So, I use templates. I have subscribed to Motion Array(RM130/month) for stock videos/templates/music/etc. I tried to edit videos on my 2014 Macbook Air...failed miserably. It cannot do text graphic and other motion graphics. Stress...So, I have now decided to buy Macbook Pro 16 with 32GB of RAM. Shopee LinkWhere to buy Macbook Pro 16inch 32GB RAM? Majority sell MBP 16inch 16GB of RAM. The only option is to buy online. Have to wait so long. I need it now. Anybody has any ideas where to buy? Kindly assist please Specs I need: -MBP 16 -i9 -32GB RAM -1TB SSD no 32GB only. Otherwise, everything fits your description. |

Not smooth.I am not a professional video editor, so, I am not sure if stutters are normal during editing videos (with effects of cos). I will look forward to buy an eGPU with 8GB of RAM next. If stutters still happen, meaning I should be looking at iMac or MacPro |

If you can afford MacPro, by all means, get it. New MacPro is modular enough and can last longer than iMac with component upgrades in future.I am not a professional video editor, so, I am not sure if stutters are normal during editing videos (with effects of cos). You bought the wrong configuration for your usage.I am not a professional video editor, so, I am not sure if stutters are normal during editing videos (with effects of cos). If stutters still happen, meaning I should be looking at iMac or MacPro 16GB won't be enough for your usage - 32GB is a min and 8GB VRAM (graphic card). Even if you get a eGPU, it will still throttle because there's not enough RAM. You have to decide if you want portability or you are working stationary. Also, connect your power source to the right side because the CPU is on the left side. Warm is fine, the body is aluminium - just monitor the temperatures to make sure everything is in place. |
