Hie can we use our hotlink credit to pay for things at shops like grab or tng app? E.g mynews or 7eleven?

hi all, i just topup using credit card and subscribed to hotlink rm40 3mbps which has unlimited data.

would like to ask,

1. how do i remove the credit card details? hotlink stated it will saved and remember my credit card details for future payments and i cant find any settings to remove it
2. how do i check how much data i have used? i dont see any indicator showing that.

1 hour video on youtube (1080p) is around 1GB. do the math u will know if it is enough. set at 480p probably half the usage.

1. no idea. i never add any payment method in my hotlink app at all. every time top up just manually done via credit card or online banking.

2. no way to check usage, if u are on unlimited plan. but hotlink will sms u when u are about to finish ur 50GB before the throttled (if not wrong).

dun go for 3Mbps, u can only stream video on youtube at 480p by default (unless u manually set to 720p or 1080p which it will cause the video not able to be loaded becos of the slow speed or u need to wait for the buffering which may not complete also).

spending extra rm10 for 2x more speed is certainly worth it for overall better experience.

for my own experience with hotlink unlimited plan is bad, i experienced a lot of blind spots in jaybee and i often encounter problem connecting to internet even for surfing web. or video streaming will be stuck while i am on the go (driving).

i am quite surprised that maxis network can be that bad now, previously my experience on maxis postpaid is quite ok. not sure why hotlink is such bad. i tot they should be similar since all on maxis network.

even i use my hotlink sim card to subscribe plan that has uncapped speed data, still the same. it is more of the network coverage issue or network congestion or blind spot and nothing to do with the plan.

my experience with maxis postpaid is quite good. i am suprised how bad is hotlink.

still have rm5 for rm30 top up now. but it is not as good as previously.

why internet so slow after purchase RM40 unlimited plan and hotspot ???

I also encountered quite often occasion I have maxis network coverage but no mobile data at all.

Somehow maxis has blind spots or network congestion issues even with coverage.

3mbps how to load fhd...

I think even at max speed best case scenario, 720P... else 480P.

problem started to appear 2 days ago....

Yeah min 6Mbps to load FHD. But I had used hotlink unlimited and no speed cap plans both also do not give consistent result.

Unlimited plan have speed cap maximum 3mbps.
But i assume that should be sufficient to load youtube as well.

im using Fast plan, really slow recently..

even maxis staff dunno how to solve this problem... they even replace with new sim card without charge

What i understand from the unlimited pass, it's unlimited but capped.
Fast pass, limited but uncapped. - but still feel like it's capped haha

Yeah the speed is bad. I bought the rm30 20GB data supposed to be uncapped speed data but it is bad.

With coverage but data is not moving.

3Mbps is slow for YouTube. Can only load 480p by default.

Hi all, want to ask about the top up promo. I'm in Hotlink Unlimited plan, and the top up promo always "Top Up RM30 for Free2GB for 1 day (Card)". I never receive any other promo like free credit. Is it randomized or something weird to my account? Or do I need to change it?

For Hotlink under any plan top up min rm10 for 30 days validity?
