Another gaming situation is, the Hotlink apps only allow RM10, RM20, RM30, RM60 and RM100 denominations. Don't have RM5 or RM3 or RM1...



So, the viable combo of RM30 plus RM10 topup (but still 30 days validity) is the optimum to subscribe to HUP35 with RM5 balance for other usages (eg. SMS, purchase apps, rewards & vouchers, or the best is RM5 for 30 days "unlimited" hotspots).

We may however search around Shopee for odd topup denomination but would not enjoy the HotlinkMu rebate/cashback...

As per ur previous post, the validity is until 29th March. Meaning, u may reload / topup on 30th March @ 3:01am onwards. Reload RM30 1st to enjoy the "HotlinkMu" rebate. Once received the rebate, can str8 buy HUP35 (if it is also expired on 29th March).

With this RM30 reload/topup, the next validity expiry date should be:
= 30th March + 30 days

Becoz they wanna make sure after 50GB exhausted, we buy the RM65 again and again and again and again and again and again....

RM5 "tipu" fee is compulsory to "activate" 50GB hotspot per month quota....

If ur number is lucky to get that promo. Most probably they will give free data like below:

Not give RM13... they give rebate RM3 after reloaded RM10...


It is related last time... now, they changed the trick edy.... me think for brand new numbers and MNPs, you may still get the RM3 or RM5 rebate but not all the time lah... the HotlinkMU promo changes everyday after 3am in the morning

Always Active = We can top-up/reload RM30 for 30 days SIM validity. On the 30th day, we subscribe to DUP35, the SIM validity is extended to another 30 days together with the plan. In other words, if we top-up/reload RM30, it is effectively getting 30 days + 30 days SIM validity....

The trick is:
RM30 reload = 30 days SIM validity = subscribe to 1GB MCO quota daily... on the 30th day, subscribe to DUP35 and the SIM validity is extended to another 30days...on the 60th day, reload RM30 and repeat....

Day 1 to Day 30 = 1GB MCO quota
Day 30 to Day 60 = DUP35

Hence, total damage for 60 days SIM validity is RM30...

If use one device, might be difficult to finish 50GB a month... but if hotspot to many devices, for sure within 5 days finished 50GB edy....



After 50GB finished, continue with 512kbps speed, can collect around 100GB quota until the 30th day...



So, HUP35 + RM5 hotspot fee can collect around 150GB FUP quota per month.... pay RM40 gets 150GB quota....

100GB is for 512kbps once the FUP 50GB exhausted/depleted... to make full use of 512kbps, buy RM5 hotspot so that 512kbps can be used "constantly" to gain "up to" 100GB per month...

It's an option not a must...

However, the 512kbps speed after 50GB has exhausted is better than 64kbps in general...

Hotspot... connect to many devices while on the move...

Me believe 512kbps is good enuff for GMap navigation, 144p YouTube, or let the 480p YouTube download in the background... That's why the RM5 Hotspot unlocking is a must...

SIM card delivery = 3 days
After replied to porting out SMS, within 48 hours can use HPU edy...

Conclusion : It should not take more than 5 working days. So, apply online on Sunday so that they can process the next "working" day(s). If we apply on Friday, we lose 2 "unnecessary" days.

The SIM/account validity is reset to 1 day (hypothetically...)

Maxis didn't do proper studies on network congestions once the 3G spectrum is abolished. So now, most of their cell towers are congested.

Fortunately, some cell towers are still performing "average-ly":



It is a good idea to subscribe to other telcos for SIM 2 slot acting as temporary backup if Hotlink (in SIM 1) is going bad. However, avoid Axiata as backup line becoz Axiata's JENDELA execution is the worst among all telcos.

The term "re-farm" means replacing old Merz, old mansion(s), Bora² vacation, casinos, etc. ... LOL...

Old is "Gold"... new is "Bold" ... LOL...

The HUP35 has a cap of 500kbps after the hi-speed data quota exhausted... that 0.5Mbps speed is good enuff for eWallet, emails, social media and 240p streaming...

FYI, this thread is for Hotlink UNLIMITED.

Hotlink PANTA* (ie that 10GB@365 days SIM Pack) has its own thread over here .

Nevertheless, we can switch back and forth between UNLIMITED and PANTA* with RM5 "tipu" fee...
