Hi everyone, my myvi 1.5 adv car might have a fuel pump problem as im not sure but i have change battery once after my car broke down because the guy who come and helped with my car say it was battery problem but i only bought my myvi since jan 2019 only so it was doesnt make sense. As i had no choice cause actually im scared as my car is in the middle of the road, it work as usual after that so i think it was nothing. My car broke down again multiple times but it happen when i start my car the second time i start my car, everytime i start my car as right now is mco so i had to start my car once in a while , it worked. my car can be start but the second time,no. In the end, the battery guy tell me it might be fuel pump problem. Called perodua and thank god they said they actually already wanted to ask me to change my car's fuel pump so its FOC but im scared the engine will stop again on my way again. should i just tow my car to go SC? or should i just try my luck to go SC using the car? im just a girl who has little knowledge about cars without families companion in a big city and scared to drive my car if this is gonna happen again hahaha

SC said that just follow send to their place. It's foc & nothing to lose anyway.

Fuel pump 5 years use usually trouble free.

if your car is using key
when u 1st turn the key, is there an "eeeee" sound?..that's the fuel pump working
and usually fuel pump won't have issue unless u always leave it until empty only refill petrol

but if SC already willing to exchange it FOC, thn send it back

If you scared the car might breakdown halfway, just call your car insurance to send a tow truck (it's FOC - just double check with the insurance CS). Ask for bed loaded type of tow truck and tow it to your SC.

The early batch of Myvi got fuel pump problem. Foc replacement by Perodua.

Perodua and Toyota got recall for fuel pump.

This is the best solution, foc by your insurance

Call your insurance and ask them to send tow truck, it should be free within a certain range. Check with your insurance company.

Her batch of Myvi have defective fuel pumps. Many kena already.

There is a fuel pump issue for first batch of Myvi's. I changed mine last week for free. SC so efficient and helped me to order it before MCO started. Took around one hour to change it

too many myvis version on the road, forgot the new myvi has fuel pump issue already

Definitely fuel pump.. current gen myvi fuel pump issue is widespread.

Just go to SC and get it changed for free

Luckily myvi. Honda also had this fuel pump problem, and most SC said due to user using a shell ron97. Wtf with honda sc nowadays

During mco, did you just start the car, then shut it down again? If so, you might be running down the battery. Starting the engine uses a lot of battery power, so the battery must be allowed to recharge by driving the car or allowing the engine to run a while.
So, it's unclear whether the fault is with battery or fuel pump.

For your trip to the service centre, you might want to build up confidence by driving around the neighborhood (less dangerous if breaks down).

All sifu, anyone tried to complain and claim for compensation for this fuel pump issue? It's irresponsible manufacturer, at least they make some arrangements for replacement as soon no until user break down at the middle of road.

Believe perodua already make a recall regarding on fuel pump. Last time was warranty replacement for users who faced the problem. Need to wait for parts availablity then change at sc. Same goes to Toyota.
