Hi all, I just got started into woodworking and I'm just wondering if there are any sawmills around Kulai or near JB that offers S4S furniture grade timber (also, kiln-dried), on second thought, sawmills from other places are ok too, I'll try to contact them and ask if they do postage. I've went to quite a lot of timber tradings around my place but most of them just offer rough sawn construction grade lumber and I don't have a planer nor a jointer to make stuff with these stocks. Any help is appreciated.
not a big market for DIY projects thats why those timber traders cater for construction. what is your purpose for the timber if you don't have a planer or jointer? seriously postage if going to kill you to send those pieces. the cheap postage i can think off is those lorry that carry all stocks for part delivery. even that cost at least 100 per trip. i assume you meant high end furniture grade timber as majority of producers is using lower grades. my experience is to look for old timber trading co that are at least 30-40 years old. They will have the connection or experience to advice if the old timers are still there.
