depends on the brand, some have different materials cosntruction and moisture resistance.

This one brand i always pakai particle board. Waste part from project, i left it under the sun and rain for months. Suprisingly after all those tortures, the particle board masih ok, no warping, moisture expansion or anything, but the HPL glue lepas, but that is minor thing can reglue.

Back back then, some of the HPL counter cannot tahan, but this is under extreme dampness, so...kalau pakai, its nice, cheap, boleh replace, but be careful of water, TRY to prevent la, jgn flood it.

ofcourse. melamine is just the outside thin plastic covering the inside which are are usually made from sawdust or wood particles..
The outside is quite water proof but still if left too long will kembung and peel off later.

The joints are very crucial make sure no water contain too long else bye bye.

Can use bricks and tiles also look quite good actuall

My ID recommended Fenix for countertop. Does anyone have experience with it before?
