Hi, here is my current SSD, with B and M keys: https://i.postimg.cc/GhH2VgM0/IMG20200513150419-small.jpgand my choice for the new SSD is: https://i.postimg.cc/Pq3fSmmf/tempsnip.pngwhich obviously has one key only. My CPU is intel i7-8565U and acer aspire 3 A315-55G-74LX. Please advise, if I can use it on my laptop. newbie here, still blur about the keys on the SSD, harap faham. Thanks.

You have ready NVMe port? M key. Else dont buy. B M key can fit into Sata chasis. Else buy SSD only.

NO, it cannot fit.
Your existing Acer SSD slot looks like an M.2 SATA slot (the connector looks like it has 2 cutout slots)
The SSD you're looking at is an M.2 NVME, it needs an NVME slot. The difference is that the NVME has an extra connector (the connector looks like it has 1 cutout slot).

Meaning acer is cheating user? It's quite difficult to search a M.2 SATA with high read/write speed.

QUOTE(coolbuddha91 @ May 21 2020, 01:09 AM) okay. many thanks for the advice All the sellers labels it 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. That SSD looks like Kingston A1000 which is NVMe SSD. By looking at the controller, its Phison PS5008-E8-10. Everything points at NVMe. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comme...oint_me_to_its/Get Transcend MTE220S or Adata XPG SX8200 Pro for an upgrade. The SSD you are trying to buy is crap.
