Scratches on 360 dvds, Any suggestions to remove them?

well.. will my disc get scratch if i leave them in the console when i turn it off? and maybe move the console when its off/unplugged to other place in the house (bedroom to living room) or maybe even to fren's place?

my earlier question is .. can i leave the disc in there without taking it out or inserting it everytime i turn on/off
