QUOTE(RoastedChicken @ May 20 2020, 05:16 AM) Why my dad can't take chlorestrol medicine? He excreted blood when he defecate whenever after he took the medicine. Ytd admitted again, as he fainted one more time. BP low and straight faint. I sent him once again to the hospital. I'm kinda worried. Doc want perform colonoscopy and stomach checking see which part bleeding or have ulcers. Hope for the best for my daddy My dear.. u are asking questions that should be directed to the health care professionals that are taking care of your papa... Not here in the forum. I understand your worries. But u ll be getting half past six and dodgy answers from here. Get the correct answers from the doctor. You are paying for the services. Its his job to make your dad and u understand your dad s situation. Take care

QUOTE(RoastedChicken @ May 17 2020, 06:13 PM) Hi all, My dad just fainted just now under hot sun . Thought it was heat stroke so we bring him to medical hospital to check. Did MRI scanning, check no sign of stroke. Did ECG test, doc said my dad got blockage at the artery. Got 3 artery, 1 of them got blockage. Another 2 can't seen clearly. He mentioned not all able to perform surgery? I was like ,huh? Hope all forumers able to advise me in this situation. Is it high cholesterol causes this? Can diet helps? I'm worry about my father. TQ ECG can suggest which territory of the 3 main cardiac vessels that COULD be compromised. ST depression in leads II, II and aVF (these are Inferior Leads)may mean some cardiac ischaemia involving the Right Coronary Artery; ST elevation in these same will spell out an acute Heart Attack for you. Go for Coronary Angiography.. now you will ''see clearly'' which vessels have what and where. To me your dad had a heat stroke. Just rehydrate, stay in shades, stay in-doors. But at some point he will a cardiologist for the ECG changes that your doc saw. Good luck

Now we're at another hospital as the first hospital said there's blockage and needed bypass. Fuck no first of cause. Forget to mention the first hospital forced us to sign the bypass surgery. Now we moved to the second hospital. He will do the testing tml, see if my dad able to go with balloon procedure. Wish hi. Speedy recovery

Speedy recovery excellent. coronary angiography will allow viewing of the coronary vessels. if any are critically blocked, they might offer several management pathways, depending on what they see. they might offer PCI ie putting a stent thru the narrowed vessels. if the vessel(s) are blocked, they might offer CABG ( the bypass you mentioned). balloon angioplasty? that's kinda old, man; but see what they offer after the angio. be aware that if the narrowing of the vessels are mild, they might offer your dad a wait-and-see approach, which is very valid. good luck to yer dad.

Good luck to ur dad. But if it is multi vessel blockages, at 56, a Bypass is recommended. Especially if the blockages involves the LM, LAD. Lcx & Rca perhaps can just do balloon if blockage under 60% & stenting if blockages exceeds 75%. To control Coronary Heart Disease, Plant base low oil diet, healthy lifestyle + statin is effective treatments.

QUOTE(Lili9999 @ Jul 21 2020, 02:55 PM) Hi, sorry to hear this but it's better to consult a specialist to do a full heart check up. Prevention is better than late treatment since there are many risk factors for heart disease. It could be your family history, high cholestrol n blood pressure. Age, smoking, alcohol all can be risk factors. It's really hard to tell. I suggest you do a blood test. If got symptoms or blockage and you not sure why, go do a heart scan. Calcium score or CTA angiogram can tell exactly where your blockage is. I suggest the doctors here. They are very professional in heart disease. Also, if you worry about your parents, u can get a watch for them to monitor their pulse and heartbeat n so on. I hope this helps. Take good care of yourself n family! https://youtu.be/_QfIReWC3rAThanks my dad just did stenting. He's good now.
