Hi guys, so Im a Malaysian, working in Singapore and going to marry my wife who is a China citizen working in Singapore as well. As per the information I get from below website, I can actually apply for long term visa pass/spouse visa for her. It is because we wanted to buy a house in JB, and will she able to stay in Malaysia for a long period and travel in and out SG to work. So my question is as below, can anyone with experience answer me?

Is it hard to apply for the long term visa pass/spouse pass for her?

If lets say her ltvp approved, can she travel in between sg and malaysia frequently and still working in Singapore?

Thanks in advance guys. If there is a more appropriate place for me to ask or more appropriate website for me to check, please enlighten me.

so i am assuming your fiance has an WP / EP / SPass in SG. Any Malaysia side immigration requirements will not replace / supersede SG requirements unless she becomes Malaysian citizen.

Note: If you are SG PR and she is WP it becomes messy on the SG side https://www.mom.gov.sg/faq/foreign-worker/a...manent-resident

Summary - SG let her in/out is SG process/ policies. MY let her in/out is MY process / policies.

Im holding EP and she holding SP and working in SG. So it wouldn’t have any problem right?

should be no problem. However the fact that she has likely not spend much time in Malaysia will likely cause difficulties for your marriage registration in Malaysia.

I assume both of you are currently based in Singapore for some time already. So first register the marriage in Singapore at Registry of Marriage (ROM) Singapore then within 6 months register at Malaysian High Comm in Singapore for the Malaysia marriage certificate.

This is only valid if a Malaysian married a foreigner only in Singapore.

Then you can slowly do the application for LTVP/social pass

Other countries you have do it in Malaysia itself - with your fiance have to first to get a social pass / visa and undergo scrutiny.
