True, would be nice if the sooze time can be adjusted, and the task reminder to have snooze. Currently am using the task function too, but only has reminder for once, and that's it no more reminder unless u check the task list.

a question regarding the bluetooth. Since W610 has stereo bluetooth, can I send one song to two phones?? it seems that I can't do anything else when transferring songs/files via bluetooth....

wonder how do u guys type on the keypad?? fingers or fingernails?
for me, I use fingernails, I find it faster to type that way, but haven't come to the extend to produced '2 nipples' like kelvio did

well, kelvio, a bit unlucky... maybe u pressed too hard using fingernail?? pressure = load/ area, so lesser area, equals more pressure when pressing??

100..... don't worry la, don't think it will drop off... I don't know the W610's keypad internal structure, but if u look at nokia's, it's a full piece of keypad, it will hardly wear out, I think. Mine is a bit flimsy too, but not as loosen as the one u mention...

well, price will always drop for electronic devices, but I can't be sure if it will definitely drop after raya. M2 still more expensive. am still using the 256MB came with the phone very very limited!! haha. I plan to get a 2Gb, just check the price at startec, it's RM125.

Regarding the port that is loosen, according to polarz some post ago... is it the port on the phone that's loosen, or the charger/USB port?? is it easier/better to pull it straight out rather than twist it 'up/down' which is easier to get it out? I have always twist it 'up/down', I thought it's designed that way...

errr, I push it down to detach it too, find it 'smoother' that way....


I noticed some stuff is missing from the setting when I take pictures recently after update the camdriver to 2.4(chris), finally noted that the Focus(AF, infinite, macro) and metering mode(spot, normal) are missing in the setting. do you guys have this problem after installing that driver??

Sorry, it's actually modded 2.3 driver, but I think the modder, chris named it 2.4

I sorted the missing focus & metering mode in the camera setting, tried a few selection of the 'scene' and it appears again. Strange though, initially the 'scene' setting was set to 'auto', by right it shouldn't be missing.... anyway, problem sorted...

just uploaded the 2.5.1 modded camdriver... seems good.. took a couple of indoor pic, gonna post it later...

it looks terrible when view it at full resolution from the computer. Among these images, the 2.4 seems to be darker, but sharper. 2.5.1 seems slightly brighter, and yellowish, but not as sharp. I have tried taken images indoor on 2.5.1 few times, all are not as sharp as the 2.4 seens here....

okie... hehe, actually I have tried to make it as still as possible la... will try it again... but taking it outdoor is nice.. much much sharper than the indoor photos....

ohhh, I didn't look at the big picture, didn't notice it earlier...

did you compare it with the phone's speaker or the earphone?? I know the phone's speaker is terrible!!

well, under the same condition, the outdoor pics are a lot sharper... I did set the picture quality to fine, but scene at auto, focus auto too.

yeah loh, I am bit dissapointed with the camera, but can let it a go with it since it's a walkman phone. What really dissapoint me is that the phone's speaker, which is from a walkman phone, is worse than the K-series(K700,k750, k800), Nokia...... really really dissapoint with the speaker...

I switched off the SU reminder, it can be switched off at Settings-General-Update service-Reminder

yup, w610's speaker lousier than K-series ... I had a K750, and my dad uses K800.

yup, all those u named there, as compared to those I have heard (K750, K800, Nokia 6300, N73)

Hmm, I wonder if it's only me who is facing this problem? I have not heard anyone complain about the W610's speaker so far...

I think the background clock he refers to is without needing to press any button... the digital clock will be shown on the sleepmode.
I was looking for that function too when I got the phone... haha.
yup to iRonTech, no sleepmode clock for W610i, however, I can survive with that just need a better speaker
