Poco F2 Pro...I think I am quite impressed..if the price in Malaysia for base model is rm1899 or less..
1.snapdragon 865
2. 30w fast charge
3. 4700 mah battery
4. Cheapest 5G fon
5. full screen AMOLED display with no notch
6. quad camera with macro lens
7. UFS 3.1 storage
8. Liquid cooling tech with much wider area for heat dissipation
etc etc etc
It will be the "cheapest" flagship ever....i Miss Oneplus One era where I bought the 64gb for less than 1.3k
*
I doubt it will be this cheap, probably rm2200-2400

There’s no snapdragon 865 below rm2800 at the moment.

Agree.

But I think realme x50 pro is about the same price (AP set ofc, not sure about local set though).

X50 pro hasn’t officially release in Malaysia right?

At the moment can only get x2 pro, and that phone hasn’t dropped in price since launch in December.

Love for this kid will highly depend on the pricing in Malaysia smile.gif
Got one, bro.

Actually I wouldn't mid getting the X50 Pro if it launches here at about RM2.4k or so. Been using Realme UI for more than a month now and it's pretty good. I definitely enjoy it more than MIUI smile.gif

So far looks promising for poco f2 pro pricing, can’t wait for the launch in Malaysia.

The Realme x2 pro also not bad, to be honest.

Yeah, but for a brand like Realme, I expected the X2 to be priced below RM2k. And like you said, the price just wouldn't drop even though I have half an eye on it for some time laugh.gif

Before realme 6 I actually thought “who would buy the Realme x2 pro for rm2399?” Better go for Samsung or Huawei, but when you look at the specs, it’s actually much much cheaper than their Samsung or Huawei counterparts.

Now I actually have good impression of realme, they are basically the new Xiaomi (how Xiaomi was last time offering affordable flagships), cause even now Xiaomi starting to charge more and more for their flagship models.

Oh well... I'm always looking at long-term investment:

And...

Resale value after 24 months:

Great analysis here, appreciate you taking the time to do this. Just want to point out that:

1) android now and a phone like poco f2 will definitely have longer lifespan assuming one is okay using it without continuous updates.

2) resale value of iphone also lately is not as great as it used to be (example iphone se 2 releasing, kinda disrupted the prices of iphone 8, iphone 7)

Wow!!! Kena screwed by Xiaomi again.

Not really, almost all marketing is like this lately, if you are usual buyer you will know you should wait and not be an early adopter.

The sweet spot is normally 3 months to 6 months after release, even if you buy iPhone, I normally advise people wait March or April after the September launch to purchase as easily can get rm500 discount or base price with high storage.

If you want to save even more money, you buy last gen tech instead of current gen tech.

Hi guys, need some advise from your end, can I know is there huge difference between the 6gb Ram and 8gb Ram version? As i know the main difference is LPDDR4X and LPDDR5, but not sure how significant is the difference on daily use. Visited quite many mi store but all display 8gb ram version only, can't get my hands on the 6gb ram unit to test it. Price difference is about RM500, not sure worth the additional cost? If I get the 6gb Ram version, can it last for minimum of 2 years with those android version updates? Thanks for the advise in advance.

I doubt you will notice any difference in real world usage.

If speed is your concern, then go with the LPDDR5 model cause it's 20% faster than LPDDR4X and also more energy efficient. Also you get double the storage.

If I were you though I'd go with the RM1499 model (this price is really a no brainer) and also the model everyone is getting. At RM500 more, those upgrades don't seem to merit 1/3 the cost of the phone.

Then with the RM500 you saved, wait 1 or 2 years then upgrade to the next greatest Poco offering.

Ya I think that is what most of the member here talk about, the difference in term of speed is hardly noticeable, go with 8gb ram if need the 256 storage, but for me I am good with 128, will wait for the 1499 discount again to grab my unit, hopefully during 10.10 or 11.11 there will be such promotion again.

For tech and gadgets it's always better to follow the trend than buying something special or unique.

When you here a lot of coverage about one product, you can be rest assured that the product is good. It's sort of like that empty/full restaurant theory (if it's full, food must be good).
