As the system apps are still present, I myself take my own initiative to further reduce some "background activities" by tweaking settings below:
(a) Enable Smart Scenes options.
(b) Disable access to Device ID.

(d) Disable Usage Access to all System Apps.
(e) Disable Authorization & Revocation for all System Apps.

All in all, the EU ROM has some effects to the background activities but not enough to prevent other nuisance. Therefore, user still need to tweak around further to minimize other background activities.

(2) Yes, the user needs to unlock the Bootloader (the official & legal method via Mi website) in order to be able to flash EU ROM.

All in all, MIUI is well known for its rouge background activities since MIUI version 1. If the user can bare the "nuisance", no harm to proceed with the stock MIUI. It's how Xiaomi makes money and sustain the SRP to be "affordable" and reaching the "Flagship Killer" title.

Xiaomi awares users can flash stock ROM to other custom ROMs and loses the cash from the "background activities" in stock MIUI. There was a time they block the unlock Bootloader to prevent user flash custom ROMs. But backlash from their fans reverse that decision.

As for me, for the past 5 Xiaomi devices, I only flash EU ROM immediately once the ROM is released. No turning back and won't try other custom ROMs. You can nominate me as the No. 1 Fan for EU ROM...LOL...

Last week I tried the same stable build again, this time no sim detection issue, turned out the stable build was better than I thought. No mobile data network issue like u mentioned. Which makes me think the current twrp is a bit buggy. Yeah, SOT wouldn't get any better sadly 😓, and it's worse in your case.

Didn't know the latest stable build got camera issue. For now I'm gonna stick with the latest beta. There's not much issue with beta, except that when unlocking screen and opening chrome immediately seems stutter a bit (only happens when using super wallpaper). And ironically tng wallet works even with magisk root 😆.

Yesterday i went to Gadget Pro by Novacell located in SS2, they are charging RM 49 / RM 59 for 1 screen protector. Is that normal? It sounded quite crazy for me. NinjaZ is only selling the full screen protector around RM 8 which does not suit the original casing.

I placed order on Gamers Hideout website yesterday for Poco F2 Pro, and today they called me their sealed unit already sold out. They offered me either to cancel order and proceed to refund or change to Demo Set which come with same 1 year warranty by them without any additional discount. Anybody else having same situation? After reaching some friends, there's few cases where GH doing things like this before, but I can't find any source to it.

Woah... seriously? They put out a PS5 Pre-order already. Even Sony themselves have yet to set any dates yet. Only order through shopping platforms through Lazada/ Shopee with these sellers. Never go purchase direct with them.
