Smarter or not its subjective, as with all aesthetic.
What you look for is the function of each lens.
Usually there are
1. main high res lens that is good for details and low light
2. A telephoto lens for far shots
3. A wide lens for cramped space shots
4. A macro lens maybe for super close up shots
2 lens maybe used simultaneously for that bokeh / blur effect.
More thens doesnt mean better. You need big aperture lens (f stop) and good branded maybe for clear, bright, and detailed shot.
