Hii, is anyone experienced ordering books from bookdepository and it came in a big box instead of the small cardbox or plastic parcel? Will postmen delivered it to the house or there will provide notice for self collect?

I ordered 10 manga and it dispatched on 12/3. However its been 2 months and I still didnt receive it. I though maybe it came in a box instead of separate parcel as when I asked their customer service to provide the packing slip, they just gave one attachment.

If I went to post office, will they entertain me?

i think it will come in a box if its a big quantity. if its just one or two it comes in a sleeve.

I ordered a few, some never came, asked for a refund they resend a new one, received it (took me forever).

The problem is, the postmen will treat the books like our ordinary mail (bank, bill, etc.), since it's international mail. If you live in an apartment or condo it will likely ended up on top of the mailbox locker (mine ended once up there, so it's susceptible to theft). If you're lucky (if the posmen is responsible) , they will leave it at your door.

I'm still waiting for my 2 books to arrive, now I moved back to my parents house, should be okay I guess, fingers crossed.

The post office will not entertain you. I went to 2 offices, couldn't help without "tracking number".

If these stuffs keeps happening i think BD will soon bar us lol.

I order books every month from Book Depository . it always arrive in the card box . Usually it takes about 3 weeks for me to receive the book . Usually if the box can fit the post box they will put it in . Or else they will leave a note to collect it from the post office . i have been ordering from them the last 2 years . i never had issues with them . My books always arrive .

Never order 3 books above, usually 2-3 books i got it on one parcel, and it took around 1month to 1 months + for me, never more than 2 months. I do received a note to collect the parcel when i was not at home. If your books yet to arrive, maybe you can try to ask pos office nearby your area, just give them your full name and address

Got questions, can book depository pay via installment. Bcoz some of my favourite book cost RM 800 - 1000?
