QUOTE(akkihiko @ Apr 16 2007, 11:48 PM) I think Zitron is better because we can claim warranty anywhere in Malaysia. For AP, the user have to go to the shop where he/she bought da phone to claim warranty Zitron is for Nokia and LG phones. Avaxx is for Nokia phones. As for SE phones, original distributors are Midland, Thorus and the old known ori SE company-T-Choice, I don't think there is any model being distributed by T-Choice. As for Motorola, it has MDM, FMG and Brightstar. FMG is also original distributor for Samsung. |

QUOTE(gerl @ Jul 4 2008, 10:14 PM) hi need some help..i'm alil confused. I would say you got cheated by that guy, it is an AP set. Original SE phones are warrantied by authorised SE distributors which are Thorus or Midland and not any other name.i was looking at k770i. i wanted to noe if its original, so the guy tell me to look at this sticker(he opened the fone n show me a sticker with SG in the middle) i asked him wad does SG stands for o.o? he said it shows it's original.. furthermore say it's not AP set..is original, which is from supplier. (and supplier get from kilang) so it's warranty by supplier...not AP which the warranty is usually fixed by the shop staff.. he also says 1 yr warranty cover evrything including spare part except for lcd, camera, software and water-damaged. so i went back n search thru the forum but failed to come up with a conclusive answer. errr...so is this fone rly original? thanks for any replies. Also, original sets' warranty coverage does include the parts you mentioned except for water-damaged. Alright, if you have bought the phone; the most initiatory step you can do is do a cross-checking by using IMEI no. To do so, just press *#06# on your phone's keypads and a set of IMEI no. will be displayed on the phone's LCD screen. Then, try to match the displayed IMEI no. with the one printed on the box. If it matches, means it is original; if it doesn't, it means otherwise. Besides that, you can check from the warranty card. If it is an original set, all SE centres' details will be stated on the card. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 5 2008, 07:22 AM |

QUOTE(IcyDarling @ Oct 2 2008, 09:02 AM) Very useful information, all this time i tot AP phone is those illegal one haha.. It is because of the convenience for claiming warranty if anything happens. These brands have service centres in almost every state whereas usually AP companies only have one specific service centre.Erk, maybe i dint read throughly but whats the advantage of having a ori phone than the APs? |

QUOTE(edison_84 @ Oct 2 2008, 08:22 PM) Any comments about perfect mobile? Never heard of Perfect Mobile before, there are too many AP companies out there. Is it good AP company? Just went to shop ask for p1i, rm1020 warranty by perfect mobile. Well, if it is near to your location and has good warranty coverage policy, why don't give it a try? QUOTE(ask4more @ Oct 2 2008, 08:24 PM) Well, things happen unpredictable.QUOTE(PrinceCC @ Oct 2 2008, 09:43 PM) Yes, Sapura is one of the Nokia original distributors. |

QUOTE(mav910623 @ Oct 18 2008, 06:38 PM) need some help here, gonna get a nokia n78 soon and it will be an ap set, my question is how do i ensure that the 2gb card supplied together is ori 1 and not replaced. This is because nokia ship the nokia maps software in the memory card. Usually for AP sets, memory card comes in bundle; you can't claim straight warranty for the memory card manufacturer but instead from the AP companies. Bear in mind, some AP companies do not give warranty coverage to memory cards.Wen buy AP set must send back to the shop wer we bought it rite? or to service center aso can? AP set got service center?? Im living in labuan and need to get a phone, just wanna noe wen i go back to KL , If the phone got problem how? Oh yeah , as long as got warranty card from BBS, ect should be fine rite? The IMEI should still match the box? No, since it is AP sets, you can't send back to the service centre but only to the shop/company you are buying from. If you are getting from Labuan and the company you are buying from has branch only in Labuan, then you have no choice but to send back to Labuan for any warranty claiming procedure. Yes, that should be fine and make sure the stickers in the phone are not torn or removed. No, not necessary because most of the AP sets' IMEI does not match with the box. If it matches, then you are lucky. This post has been edited by fruitie: Oct 18 2008, 10:27 PM |

Just warranty coverage is different.
AP sets cannot send to respective Nokia, SE, Motorola, Samsung, LG and etc. service centres for warranty claiming procedure. Other aspects are the same. This post has been edited by fruitie: Oct 21 2008, 12:03 AM |
