Hi people

I'm considering getting another DSLR as a backup for my current setup. A Nikon D50 or similar would fit the bill nicely. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd hand one. Anybody have any tips? What should I look out for? Or is it just a bad idea to get a 2nd hand/used one?

BTW I'd only get the body cause I already have enough lenses.

Do test LCD For dead pixels as well as the capacity left on the ageing battery. D40/D40X maybe?

Thanks for the advice... am actually checking out a used camera this week.

To julchin_09,
I was considering a D40/40x but having to look at the LCD screen to adjust settings turns me off, also, the D50 is lot similar in controls/body to the D70s, making switching back and forth easier.

I wish I could just upgrade to a D80 and use my D70s as the 2nd camera/backup instead! That would solve everything. but money rules the day haha
