My Dell U2711 is starting to show some "watermarking" at the side, and discoloration (yellow) at the top part of the monitor. It was a fairly advance monitor when I bought it, at around rm2k! But it has been through 8 years now, and I think it is about time for it to retire. Not sure how long more it can last... with the watermark getting randomly appear and disappear.

I'll like to keep to 27" with 1440p , same resolution. But maybe 144hz... it is always nice to have occasionally do some gaming. Support Usb Type-C. Budget Below RM1.5k

Or none 144hz, standard 60hz, but Ultra Wide angle , also can consider.. looking into how to implement it into my workspace as I usually work with 2 monitors, I'll like to cut down the space taken up on my table.

LG 27GL850, RM1899, see siggy for images
edit: forgot u said budget monitor. Acer Nitro VG271UP, just like what's been recommended here

Thanks for recommending LG 27GL850, I will look into that too. I dont mind pay a bit more if the screen is more color accurate, as my main purpose is still more for work, and not gaming.

what kind of work? photo/video editing? GL850 is NOT colour accurate out of the box though, as the factory calibration's ∆E is pretty mediocre across a lot of gaming monitors... need full calibration using external hardware. after full calibration only then it's very accurate

pre calibration average ∆E measured at 2.92 and max ∆E at 5.43 for sRGB because the default mode in the monitor has an unclamped sRGB gamut
post calibration average ∆E measured at 0.4 and max ∆E at 1.14 for sRGB using default mode, the post calibration has properly clamped the sRGB gamut during sRGB usage

the ∆E I was mentioning stands for the difference to the actual colour..the lower the delta, more accurate the displayed colour is towards to actual colour

I did some photo editing work, and mainly on 3d visualisation. Yeah I calibrate all my monitor, but my calibrator is a little outdated, but is better than nothing. I am using colormunki Display. So you are saying if this monitor get to hardware calibrated, it will be very good?

I see your sig, seems like you are a hardcore Dell supporter. I used to be like Dell a lot, until their service starts to sucks, from sales to after sales services. Anyway do you have any Dell monitor you would like to recommend for my case?

also reminded me that i forgot to mention...27GL850 is gaming monitor that is capable for productivity workload, but I think not the exact monitor you want to look forward to for full fledged professional work.. icon_idea.gif
you may want to look at this kind of monitor instead: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/asus-pro...9mkw2v&search=1 for fully professional work
but in the case of you wanting 144Hz gaming and work then 27GL850 would be fine, but you will suffer a bit on mediocre contrast ratio...i've measured only 840:1 on my unit. other reviewers measured equally or lower...even till 750:1

Im looking into the Asus Proart, definitely look like something I should consider... but it is a bit hard to find review online.. Not sure if it is overkill for my usage... I only let the calibrator do all the job, but personally dont know much bout all the technical details sweat.gif And I dont work on wide color gamut color space. I mean in photoshop I work primary using srgb only.. not even adobe rgb. And All my photos also shoot with srgb.

pro art is good... but the color when u use quadro gpu if become weird.. got ppl encounter same thing?

No longer using quadro card, as I find myself not benefit too much from it, and the cost are too much ... so I end up using back gtx gaming cards for my 3d work.
