wana ask..
currently my whole family is using hotlink. 4 ppl included i myself. so to remain activate the account,we each month also need to reload at least RM30. but my family doesn't really used up to RM120 per month, just sometimes may over a bit. so do u guy think that my family should change to postpaid plan? coz currently i'm away from my family for study, so when my mom call me, it use up lots of money. can someone count for me the amount i should pay if my whole family use the postpaid, as my father is the main line, then another 3 use the family plan. thx so much. Added on July 26, 2007, 4:27 pmand 1 thing...my fixed phone line at home used up around RM80 per month for PHONE CALL only..rental for line is excluded... so should i change? First, one of you got to subscribe the P package where the lowest is Package 75 . The rest of 3 can register as a family line with RM50/mth Benefit: 1) Each of you will get FREE 20hours = 1200mins voice & video call within family members in Malaysia. 2) Each of you will get FREE 2000 SMS send within family members in Malaysia 3) Usage sharing between family members. Note: 1) After you finish item 1 & 2, you will be charged normal call rate (15sen/20sen) & sms rate (5sen/15sen) 2) The above FREE airtime & sms is part of your RM75 & RM50 commitment fees. All your calls within family members will offset against the above FREE airtime & sms. Since your line is prepaid, it has to convert into postpaid line & existing postpaid a/c has to settle all outstanding balance before can change to new rate plan. This plan would be ideal if monthly bill/spending not more than RM225 (RM75 + RM50*3) & more important is credit sharing among ur members. just to let you guys know that maxis call forwarding is provided FOC for those who activated their 3G.
I called up maxis and they told me call forwarding is necessary for 3G video calls because the unanswered 3G video calls will be directed to a 3G mail server , to be retrieved by the person later. btw, how many of you actually use 1. call waiting 2. call forwarding 3. voicemail services? i only find call waiting useful. |

you are welcome. i tried it both on my postpaid and hotlink account.
postpaid - charged me RM3 for call forwarding (that was the reason i called them to ask why they charged me for service i never subsribe one) and rebated RM3 at the end of each bill. prepaid hotlink - activated my 3g also, and so far my call forwarding works! and no credit deducted. so this is the trick. for those with 3g phones, just activate your 3G - FOC , and you will get Call forwarding services FOC too! you mean you paid for your call forwarding long time ago BEFORE you activated 3G?
in this case, i dont know, but what i do know is if you have NOT subscribed to call forwarding prior to this, and you decide to activate 3G now, call forwarding will be provided FOC for you. someone please confirm my findings, (especially those with active 3G , check your call forwarding to see if it's active) This post has been edited by soul2soul: Jul 26 2007, 11:57 PM |
