QUOTE(blah1134 @ Sep 15 2007, 03:57 AM) Interesting Everyone has been asking the same thing...including us: Why Weren`t The Drivers Banned? Link ~ http://www.planetf1.com To sum it up. McLaren knew everything about Ferrari. From the emails we have seen McLaren knew and were testing weight distribution, brakes, set-ups, etc. They even knew what lap Kimi was pitting on in Aussie land. Ron is claiming he knew nothing and yet his test driver, race driver, chief designer and testing people all knew everything? He said whistler blowers are good for the sport in refering to Stepney. So I guess he is pleased with Alonso then for be a whistler blower. Spying has been happening in F1 for quite a long time. I guess it's time to put a stop to it. Enough is enough. QUOTE(htkaki @ Sep 15 2007, 12:23 PM) Whoever wins the WDC; Alonso or Hamilton, it would be a tainted victory. It is rather sad that things took an ugly turn. No matter what, when McLaren are found guilty in this espionage saga, some people if not most people will percieve them differently. Definitely.Ron Dennis..."We're pulling our drivers and entire team out until 2008!" He hasn't said it yet, but there is nothing left to be done but to do so. Here's how I look at it... "IF" Ron was ignorant of this whole mess and he is half the man he claims to be (no team orders, we're an honorable team, etc. etc.), then he has no choice but to retire the team from this year's racing. "IF" however, he was complicit, then he must also retire his team anyway because it's the best way to minimize the damage already done to the sport. THE CAR AND TEAM IS ILLEGAL... FULL STOP!!! All the world knows it, but the FIA is too soft/moronic to know what needs to be done. Any man worth his salt would simply throw in the towel and try again next year (after also sacking Alonzo, PDR, Caughlin, and anyone else who was privy to the Ferrari info within the team). A complete purge is necessary to make things right. Nothing less will do if Ron cares at all about the future of the sport. Come on Ron...show us what caliber of man you are! We're waiting... Since they're guilty...sure it'll effect the sponsors such as Santander (bank). This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Sep 15 2007, 02:23 PM |

I know majority of us here hated Steve Slater
But he did say something about the effect of the scandal on McLaren. A level down next year. USD100 million@ 50 million pounds is a quarter of McLaren's budget. Since they're guilty...it effects the sponsors. Santander for instance...is a bank. Would a bank sponsor a team that was guilty and fined of cheating? Credibility surely gone down the drain. Slater suxx at commentating but pretty spot on about other stuffs. |

QUOTE(blah1134 @ Sep 15 2007, 03:43 PM) An exploding ron would be fun to watch. AHhahaha. i'm surprised he can still be diplomatic & calm. imagine flavio or luca in his position ... hAhahahah. Ron exploded? The worst thing that could happen is he'll cry Like at Monza last week. Tainted...tainted...tainted Don't worry, we can still watch A1 and other racing GP if bored with F1. LOL.
I think it's normal. Everyone has their own opinions and expressing satisfaction as well as dissatisfaction. Ferrari 50% satisfy...100% if McLaren were expelled for 2007 and 2008. McLaren claimed innocent (but Dennis tipped off FIA etc. This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Sep 15 2007, 05:26 PM |

QUOTE(blah1134 @ Sep 15 2007, 05:45 PM) but it's not entirely sure what has gone into mclaren's car, we dont even know whether the contents of pedro's conversation with alonso is from the 780 pages of dossier or from stepney mouth. but it's from ferrari none the less.. Me ROFL!cry-baby-ron VS attention-whore-alonso. who's the winner ? i doubt alonso will be at mclaren next year nor he will win the drivers champ. mclaren sure sabotage his car. Winner or whiner? Even so...with the speed of those Ferrari's especially in sector 2...I think it might not work out for Hamilton.

What a rain pile up.
1st McLaren and Ferrari passed nicely before saw the 2nd McLaren hitted the wall...and all hell breaks lose. FIA to monitor McLaren treatment of Alonso Max Mosley keen to protect the defending champion Link ~ http://www.f1-live.com QUOTE "If they do anything wrong against Alonso, they will have to answer to us in Paris and we will do what is necessary," Mosley is quoted as saying by the Italian daily La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Briton said he fully supported Alonso's actions, in direct contrast with some sections of some that have accused him of maliciously attempting to blackmail his bosses. "He was the only one on his team who did the right thing," Mosley said. "With Alonso's emails we obtained certainty (about the case)," he added. Ron got a slap on the face. McLaren penalty proceeds to be split
Link ~ http://www.itv-f1.com QUOTE "Roughly half of it will go to the other teams, the other half we're going - if the World Council agrees - to distribute to our ASNs worldwide to bring on young drivers," Mosley told reporters at Spa on Saturday. Although McLaren was fined $100 million, the team will only pay that amount less the television income it would have earned had it been eligible for constructors' points. 'Duit raya' |

Imagine...a fast lap at Spa is 1:48:XXX.
After winning a GP...the celebration lap would be like 3 minutes Lamanya....so shortcut is the best way. Hamilton is feeling the pressure now That's why 'marah-marah'. You guys pity Alonso now? When he won or on the podium...it's like he celebrated alone....after all the dramas...you know what I mean Me feel 'kesian' (in a good way) to him when watching him on the podium. You guys with me?
