Some fact that i found out the diffrent from TAKARA and Hasbro
- Actually they are came from same factory.
- Same quality of material (we try to weight it, both are similar weight)
- TAKARA version is actually mean to ship to Japan for sell
- Scalper using "TAKARA" as they selling higher price point.

Sorry, Today I was so furious vmad.gif of the scalper i meet today.

I am so envious the white looks nice also, but I think the blue is still the better one since its accurate to the animation. This month budget is blown if not I sure order one. he take about full set, 3 cartons.. and he strongly mention about BumbleBee got few on his hand asking for higher price..

y u guys so afraid of scalpers? let them buy lah,when new stocks arrive they are going to sell at cheap cheap price ord,that'll make them look like soh@i' if we want to blame the scalpers,y dun we blame Hasbro or the manufacturers instead? y dont they mass produce? they are the one who encourage price hike by not making enough to meet demands although i believe they have the means to do it.

P/S : and pls dun associate me with those scalpers,so far i only have Leader and Voyager OP,Starscream,and Ironhide only. Still looking for BB08 and Barricade. i also hate them cos they have the time and money to jln2 at shopping centre while we have to work but by not informing others here about the availability of certain TF toys in this forum will deprive others who only refer to this forum for info.

Zeff,no need to be jealous of those scalpers,they also untung not much,think of the time when they have to scout everyday and the money spend on parking,foods etc... they just want to do business like everyone,can anybody here guarantee 10 years later u'll sell ur Leader OP still mint in box for RM189.90?

These people are small time business man,caught by the fuss created by the movies and the small amount of stocks available in the market. We have to live with it. Bt not informing other forummers here also wont discourage the scalpers cos i believe they have connections and they have the time to scout everyday,at the end of the day,we at lyn forum rugi only cos info of stocks availability are not getting to us.

I dunno is marketing tactic or what.. but I am sure that US are selling lower price then retail price here.. smile.gif You are buying MASS Production product.. laugh.gif You should change it to "why not increase productivity".

The prices are very good indications already. Anything above retail price, you shouldn't pay for it IMHO unless you are really desperate and have loads of cash to burn.

i dunno, but somehow i hate the movie now. the movie brings hype and it has destroyed the TF market. everything has become too pricey already, unreasonably too. i hope this movie hype would die before hasbro's MP Starscream is realeased.

Re- Hasbro - i think this phenomenon is localised in a few countries only. And I don't think it is Hasbro's strategy to sell a bit, then see response.... then release again. Hasbro would have made a survey based on its past sales of other movie toy lines like Spiderman, Fantastic Four etc and then adjust manufacturing accordingly. Each country then submits a stock request to the factory based on projected demand/sales. I guess Hasbro Malaysia underestimated the effect of the movie, before movie can find berlambak everywhere, after movie nowhere to be found... the recent restocks also Gone in 60 seconds!!

I go to Bangkok for work quite often, the Transformers Toys berlambak but got many more choices. But I don't buy here because the retail prices here are at least 30% more than Malaysia. It was also reported that HK and SG berlambak.

So the culprit is...... Hasbro Malaysia for not doing proper sales projection!! Should have emplyed a proper market surveyer that interview the Transformers junkies like in this thread!!!

Added on July 27, 2007, 12:09 pmJust want to add to the Bangkok Transformers topic, although sales is slow, but it is picking up the last week. When the movie started, no one touch or layan the Transformers shelves, there were hundreds (berlambak) BB74,jazz. swindle, ironhide.. etc on the shelves, Now only left a handful, like 5 of each. But if this was Malaysia, that wouldn't last 1 hour.

yup apart from that being in alien jet form is another thing i dislikes most..i was hoping for a single
bazooka or a huge canon/gatling gun where starscream would help to hold if he transforms...

just now i went lot10 isetan...look for trasnformer...
they just restock megatron leader class...in 3 hours..
finish!!!......nothing to said...that promoter told me..
i was too late...i suspect is sgwang owner toy shop sapu it....!!

no need to PM redi.... starscream bought from ebay, Jazz just bought from 1U Jusco today, they just happened to be opening the carton when i directly grab before they even put onto shelf. By now i dont think any Jazz survives....

Added on July 28, 2007, 12:17 amanyway can suggest u try go check all big stores everyday at random hours, maybe they still will restock kot, coz lately everyday got new stocks o....

I went 1 U just now, too bad I went back earlier and I have been told that the staffs just put the Deluxe series on the shelfs...
TRU also got, but no sign of BB08. All kena sapu kau kau...

27th July, 2:30PM: TRU restocked some Transformers toys. My pet-sis was there, and she got me a "Bonus 2 Pack" that comes with Transformers Universe Excellion and Thundercracker. You thought this is a sweet deal? Hehe, price was sweeter too at RM69.90.

Same place, but at Carfourre (correct or not ahh?) there are TF movie toys restock as well, but dammit, no BB08 in sight. According to her, mostly are the Deluxe units. End of report.

Barricade, Jazz, and Bumblebee were non existent. Semua kena sapu.

hey shinichi.. t think u need to try and transform to robo then back to vehicle mode .... the leg would be the main prob though... but be careful i feel its quite difficut to transform so i leave it at robo mode ....hahaha

the fact that frenzy who is as tall as a human can transform into a radio smaller than his head is already unlogical. micheal bay is contradicting himself.

btw; to new alternators and binaltech collectors:

get the mustang and rx-8 mold la. the subaru mold is inferior compared to these two. the impreza has so much transformation problem, although it does look good. grimlock/wheeljack and meister/shockwave has a cleaner transformation and better poseability. i think the ford GT is a good mold too.

Just came back from Jusco 1U and TRU. Bought a couple of Transformer, was expecting some deluxe model but instead i got Megatron Leader class. Pretty happy already, big diffrent compare with my Voyager class. BTW there 1 leader class Megatron left there at 1U

i saw a shop in penang sell takara voyager ss and ironhide at 139.90, robo prime rm170, titanium menasor at rm89.90, and hasbro bb74, barricade, brawl, swindle, scorpionok, and bonecrusher at rm360 in set.

too bad din have any toys i want to get. feels like getting titanium menasor but at last din get coz not really like it. i only bought ko fortress maximus...

anyway they say will have stock for alt rodimus at rm139.90...

Quality is juz kinda so-so, but rest assured they're transformable wink.gif

This technique is called Stop Motion. It is actually an old movie making technique for non-living creatures, they will post the robots and take static shots, then they combine all the shots show in video sequences and thats what u get, the more shots u get for a movement, the more smoother it will be, is a cool technique which i will play around with as well when i get all my movie characters, then i can make a small movie redi, haha.

today i scouted place:

AvenueK - Finish
OU pasar seni - Din sale at all
Klcc isetan- Finish
Midvalley - Finish
Maluri Jusco - Finish
Ampang Tesco - Finish but saw 1 shop got all character...just for display, nop for sales.....

U need to pre-order with model shop (but not scalper shop lar). I got my Leader Prime with pre-order. Or u can juz follow up a model shop restock date and be de first few person to go there n buy.

haha for me, I wanted hasbro also. But man, these retailers sure know how to earn my money cause I'm just too desperate. You see I wanted a Hasbro jazz, I ordered from Amcorp.The guy told me that Takara one got stock but hasbro one will come later on. I didn't care. But today i went there to check on my orders, I saw the Takara Jazz and just bought it instantly cause it was so freakin nice. I also kept telling myself "It's only RM29 more, doesn't make a difference, you can't wait right?" tongue.gif
