I know HK follow Chinese script. Well... obviously. Their Cantonese words have direct a counterpart in Mandarin, like 你, is 'ni' in Mandarin and 'nei' in Cantonese. But our Cantonese, we say lei. Why are we so different?

Another example:

Mandarin: De
HK: Dik
Local: Gei

Mandarin: Dui
HK: Deoi
Local: Ngam

Only KL speak weird Canto.

Sabah and Ipoh is quite similar with Hongkie.

U know what's the difference between "doh che" and "em koi"?

KL people dont even say doh che, lolz

Which is the correct one?

Depends on usage.

Em koi is asking for help or receive help.

Doh che is receiving gifts

U should ignore the goddamn title of this thread. I have warned TS about it but he didn't listen.

If u can understand the stuff in the vids that I posted, you are good with Standard Cantonese Chinese language.

They are basically 99% the same thing and mutually intelligible.

There is a vid about Taiwanese speaking Hokkien on the streets/shops in Fujian Province, PRC, and both of them can understand each other.
Penang Hokkien, KL Hokkien, Taiwan Hokkien, Fujian Hokkien are mutually intelligible.
