It was bad when I tried crunchy. I wrote a detailed review here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4925034

People told me I was wrong and that I should try again. So I tried 1 bottle of creamy and surprisingly it was acceptable.
Please understand that I'm not saying it was good, I'm not saying that it is tasty.

This is pure peanut butter so obviously it is going to be flat flat just peanut taste. I can accept that but I can't accept it is liquid like peanut sauce because that seems like something went wrong with how they roasted it and they had to do something to make it blend during the melangeur stage.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I ordered a lot of creamy peanut butter during the first few days of MCO due to panic buying as the stores near me all had no more peanut butter.

The first batch of 5 bottles was fine. But yesterday I started on the 6th bottle and I'm not happy. This bottle was again a bit liquidy.
Not terrible like the crunchy one. But just liquidy enough that I was feeling annoyed.

Anyway, I mix it myself with pure cocoa powder to make my own choco-peanut butter and since my cocoa powder is so dry, it makes it nice and solid so it turned out okay.

I also make my own peanut gianduja by mixing with 58% dark chocolate. That was also tasty and nice.

So I wouldn't call their product great but okaylah, acceptable.

That said, at the time, I didn't know that Tesco had their own brand of pure peanut butter that is like almost half the price of Jobbie. So if you ask me today, I would buy Tesco's pure peanut butter. However, apparently that is out of stock also.

That's my 2 sen.

jobbie crunchy is soo dry.....
creamy fair a bit better cuz well, creamy.
but i'm the type of people who prefer crunchy over creamy, so jobbie is very disappointed for me.
jobbie crunchy is down right inediable dry. creamy ediable, but certainly not worth the money.

i agree wit u, the best peanut butter i had, was homemade.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But there is a huge difference between like the widely available Peanut Spread (I think brands like Daisy and JIF) and real pure peanut butter.

Peanut spread means the main ingredient is margarine (hydrogenated palm oil) and then they use peanut flavouring and sugar and salt and chemical emulsifiers. But it will taste great because it was engineered to hit all the pleasure receptors in your tongue. If you look at all the cheap foods, they taste better than real foods. Those peanut butter cookies, etc all use the cheapest peanut spread.

When I look at the peanut butter in shops, most (but not all) are adding hydrogenated palm oil and other chemicals. I was surprised that the normal Skippy has this as well.

I'm told that Tesco's pure peanut butter is pure though and is much cheaper than Jobbie.

i'm not sure the same rule apply here in m'sia as well, but what is said is basically correct in som countries.
that's y when shopping, read & study the ingredients, or pay close attention to these marketing "wordplay".
got different y som can only market as "peanut spread", while som is "peanut butter".
it's same like y for instance, the mister potato market it's packet as "chips", while the other 1 is "crisps".
fun fact: it's "potato crisps" cuz potato is not the main or majority. ingredient.

bck to peanut butter, honestly i dun really mind if it's substitutes or the real deal ingredients, provided it's safe.
for me, i'm ok wit even lab grown food, as long as safe & taste as good or better.

but c'mon, it's peanut butter. food that ain't exactly known for being healthy.
just pick your favorite 1, & dont over eat.
no point choosing the ass tasting healthier alternative just so i can taste the shit more often?
no thx, i rather taste the good stuff once a while instead.

Actually to be honest, my current understanding is that pure peanut butter is considered healthy. I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. Which I don't know, what are you comparing it to? https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/is-pea...or-you#section2

Regardless of whether their peanut butter nice or not, it is subjective. But I think some people butthurt because they feel like they got cheated by this marketing gimmick. Whether it is justified or not for their business impact, we can't deny some people felt that way.

It is similar to when /ktard fight with her/his gf/bf, your partner pull the suicide card on the rooftop so that you will do your best to pujuk and give her the attention that she wants. But deep down, he/she won't have the gut to really do it. Well....that's how some of these people felt I think.

Now come to think of it, they've actually been scamming/misleading their customers in their advertising methods.

Like previously they mentioned on Instagram about "buy 1 free 1... Big Thank you". My friend has asked them about the promotion whether if it's real, they said yes. Then we went to Isetan and met them and that wanker said "buy 1 jar and free 1 thank you". We were all stunned lol.

Though it's our fault that we didn't get into between the lines of the message. But damn this wanker is cringey as fuck.

Cringey af tldr explanation. There's a Chinese saying, 解释就是掩饰。The harder you try to justify your wrongdoing, the worse you'll appear to the public. Everyone please stop supporting this untrustworthy brand, vote with your ringgits.

Use the same tactic in 2 years ago and rinse repeat during MCO. TBH i cannot stand his wall of text. The whole thing is to cover up that the owner cannot accept business failure.
