hi guys wanna ask do you guys realise games nowadays got no or very limited background music?

the game i have played on ps4 like FF15, RDR2, RE2 remake, RE3 remake and etc, most of the time there is no background music at all, when there is music it tend to be very soft and short, but the sound effects are there, so it sounds like a 'quiet' game with sound effects only. it feels very weird.

not like last time the original final fantasy series, resident evil series, there is background music for every scene and it build the atmosphere.

anyone got this problem? is the games nowadays memang no background music or its my ps setup got problem?

persona 5 background music is loud, so it depends on the games. too much background music will draw you out from the games atmosphere.

Start from 3:10 onwards.

No issue on HT when playing FF15.

I think your PS4 audio are going into the wrong or unsupported output channels.

When in doubt just set to the standard linear PCM in stereo first as the base reference.
Then only start adjusting to other formats, 5.1, 7.1 channels to see if these settings are working correctly compared to the base reference.

FF15 you have a literal MP3 player with you.
Where you can play past FF games OST in the background.

most of the game nowdays got very limited background music, i watch gameplay from youtube its the same with limited music. not like old time games like the old FF series and old RE2,3 every scene have the unique music that increase the feel of the game.
