Before Valhall, ARM doesn't differentiate between high and lower performance part. However it create a confusion amongst users who can't differentiate them.

Thus starting from Valhall, high performance part (more than 7 cores) will use G77 part number while cores count lower than 7 will be branded G57. Its the same thing but with different naming scheme.

ARM claimed that Valhall will perform 30% faster thus manufacturers will be able to reduce core count to improve heat and power consumption while maintaining or improving performance vs Bitfrost. Therefore a 4core G76 in G90T might be beaten by a 3 core G57 in 800U.

Personally I dont feel like Dimensity 820 will ever make it here. Even if they make it here, they will bring the most expensive variant which is nearer to 1.6K than the low end model which would totally skew their low end offering.

It's just here that there's not enough demand for BKK to justify cannibalising their brands.

I tell you why Xiaomi drop their price. I'm using IQOO Neo3 and it's a sub brand under Vivo. Snapdragon 865, UFS3.1, 144hz LCD, stereo speaker, 44w fast charging for RM1750. There's also IQOO3 using same spec with an amoled screen for a bit over 2k. Literally BKK has cornered xiaomi from every aspect. You want more polished os, there's Oneplus. Vivo, Oppo, IQOO and Realme gives you all sort of pricing for different specs.

Xiaomi is no longer the one that produce Mi3 for RM869. Although Mi10 is the first that I feel they really make the breakthrough of a flagship, they still can't rid of their image and fans. Their fan base didn't change thus impossible to breakthrough their budget value, flagship killer image.

Meanwhile BKK has all kind of different image to present to you, one to court gamers, one for diehard, one to tackle ladies market, etc.

Why are you wasting money buying mid range phone for gaming? You can buy Realme X3 Superzoom and get decent gaming from it for just a little bit more.

Even Nova 5T or Honor20 with Kirin 980 will be much better with gaming.

Gave my IQOO to my son and took over his old R6. Pretty good so far. Dual sim, half day work, still have 80%.
