It depend on how u use & manage the phone. My daily driver phone is Galaxy A30 [4gb ram with a lousy exynos SOC].....works good for me. And my Realme 6 4gb ram also no lagging issue [my secondary phone], mostly i use it for gaming. Unless u are a heavy multitasking user.....then minimun must be 6gb/8gb of ram
My current phone also has 4GB, it serves me well.
What I'm worry is that future software update might need bigger RAM to run the OS smoothly, since 4GB is like the minimum and 6GB/8GB is the norm.

Only 4GB and 8GB for Realme 6.
And the price gap between 4GB and 8GB is pretty huge.
https://www.themobileindian.com/news/realme...-in-india-32748 Meanwhile, a tipster named as Himanshu has revealed some details about the upcoming Realme 7 series. He claims that the new series will be launched in early September. As per the tipster, the Realme 7 will be available in two colour options including Mist Blue and Mist White. The smartphone will be available in two memory variants including 6GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage option and 8GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage variant. The tipster further claims that the Realme 7 will be powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor.
Coming to the Realme 7 Pro, the tipster claims that it will be available in Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver colour options. The smartphone will be available in two memory options including 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is said to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor. This could also mean that the phone will support 5G networks, meaning that it could be priced somewhere around Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.
The snapdragon 720 on the redmi 9s is the better soc compared to the G90T. Benchmarks are higher on the G90T but not in real world usage, the snapdragon runs cooler, throttles less and gcam mods/custom rom/recovery are going to be easier to develop compared to mediatek soc. Realme ui is leaner less bloat, doesn't have spyware/junk like miui which has gotten worse lately.
Post this on Note 9 thread and people will fight you.
#MIUI12

It is, but don't have to decide so soon. Still got time to see if there will be better deals coming around. Will eventually come here too. Maybe a month later, I guess.
As per the tweet by known tipster Mukul Sharma, the Realme 7 Pro will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display. There is a hole-punch cut out for the selfie camera, as seen in the official invite for the launch event. The phone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC and come in two configurations, namely 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB.
