hey i duwan overclock my pc can join this club ar? anyway i plan to upgrade my sempron pc to c2d.

ok i have just upgraded my pc to C2D E4400...

my rig now as below:-
1. Intel core 2 duo E4400 LGA775 2GHZ 2MB L2 cache 800MHZ FSB
2. MSI P4ZM900M2 main board
3. 1 pc Patriot 1GB DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ RAM
4. XFX 7200GS 256MB PCI-E graphic
5. 17" Dell LCD DVI output
6. 320GB Seagate SataII hard disk
7. Sony DVDRW

upgraded from:-
1. AMD Sempron 64 3000+
2. Gigabyte K8 Triton Mainboard
3. 512MB Kingston DDR400
4. FX5200 AGP
5. same
6. same
7. same

comment after upgraded:-
1. graphic - a bit better (20%)
2. windows start up - a bit better (10%)
3. response - a bit better (5%)
satisfied with the investment? - not at all.

2. this 1 cheap n a lot better than my AGP FX5200. buy new better la kos can get warrantee somemore hassle free... lol

damn... my pc suddently can reboot by it self. after check with some C2D expert, it is bkos my old psu cannot support my new C2D. stupid gadget zone guy (ah hao in 1-stop branch) somemore say any psu (even old) can support C2D.
he had oso give me wrong mobo too (the asus P5GC-MX mobo which cannot support E4400).

ok recommend me 1. best price + deliver to my office in pg.

i let him (ah hao) know my psu is old p4 psu mini atx. i tell him i want E4300 and a mobo which must fully compatible with it. and 1GB DDR2 ram and a PCIE vga. he supply me XFX 7200 GS and Patriot 1GB DDR2 800mhz.
he told me E4300 is no supply but only at least E4400. he recommend me Asus P5GC- MX mobo. he said E4400 is no problem with my psu. he said any psu oso can run E4400 with no problem.
i bring back and assembly myself. the bios show an error "ucpu loading error...". then after that it reboot automatically after press "f1 to resume". his 1st technician said i must format my hardrive which running win XP on AMD b4. then he think again and said my psu not compatible with e4400 thats y can have this error. then ah hao said the bios of this P5GC is not compatible with E4400 and must update the bios (which he said this mobo is fully compatible with E4400). then he promise me to update bios for me and after 1 day he ask me do my self... damn.
i ask for refund (kos i lose confidence on him adi kos always bullshit here n there) and he said company prosedure cannot refund. and when i ask can change to any other mobo for e4400 and he said maybe others oso not compatible of the bios. so, he ask me to update bios by myself, or he will send my mobo back to supplier to update bios and said may take more than 2 weeks for completion. i warn him i will report to authorities if he not refund to me. he said report oso no use cause the mobo and e4400 are no problem at all, just they not compatible only.
then i call their GM (jin chui). he did not answer my call twice until i sms him this, "Hi bos. i have cheated by your midlands branch. pls return my call. Alan is my old fren, so temporary i duwan bring this to authorities yet. Tq. Ron." amazing, he call me on the spot! he (GM) told me that he will settle my case by pass this to prangin mall branch. the prangin mall branch change the mobo to MSI p4M900M2-L. and test there with no problem on the bios. they give me a 1GB pendrive as a gift.
then i bring it back to my office and assembly up. without format my hardisk, the windows XP work perfectly! now the problem is sometime it will reboot suddently. it happen once or twice a day. i decide to change my psu after i heard from a C2D expert that my current psu is not enougg for C2D.

p/s: oh ya... i m looking to build another system basically better than C2D E4400... maybe going for AMD...

yeah.. very new to DDR2. ah hao told me this patriot is far better than kingston. i tell u, he is a good salesman... very pandai sell thing but... only sell 1 time to a same customer i think. i will never buy thing from him anymore.
so, which 1 is correct? some say psu now u say format my pc pular... lol. last time my amd oso running on VIA chipset. somemore i very pantang format pc...

especially playing games 3d games, surfing with many windows open and trying to eject dvdrom. it is just reboot without any warning (like prsssing reset button).
yes, i have reinstall drivers for windows XP after changing mobo, cpu, ram and vga card. when i open device manager, everything perfect.
any good psu to recommend?

never test the ram with any software. but pass the mem test during boot up on bios.
