You only can buy Shinkansen Ticket at Shin-Osaka Station. Buy only when you at Station. Osaka to Tokyo Shinkansen every 15 minute 1 train.

Can but no needed. Booked Shinkansen tickets online are one of most dumbest thing in Earth.

Not necessary. Very less Japanese taking Bus to Kawaguchiko. Because most will be self driving from Tokyo, not far away plus Japanese prefer train.
Taking Express bus from Shinjuku Station are one of most inconvenience thing.

Shinkansen travel between Osaka - Tokyo are every 15 minute one train. Operation hour from 6am to 11pm. That will be 68 train per day vice versa.

Frequency of Metro system.....had you ever online booking any Metro system in advance? Online booking for shinkansen is for Golden week season......but this system got programmed bug inside....if your IP are not Japan, system will automatically shows you full. If you used VPN change your IP to Japan but you choose Eng language in web, it also block.

If you didnt travel to Japan on thier holiday season, advance booking are not needed.

Best way tarvel from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko are using JR Limited Express "Excursion" but price slightly higher than Express bus.

I taking Shinkansen more than 200 times in my life, 170 times the train are not even 60% full. Within this 170 times, 100 times the Train are not even 40% Full
If you really wanted to take Mt Fuji Picture. The only Spot will be This Bridge to Shin-Shizuoka Station ....just hop to empty windows seat take picture and hop back.

This is the only chances, and if really depends on luck. 200 times of Shinkansen ride....is about 80-90 times I sucessful can see full Fuji Moutain and taking perfect picture like Google Map shows. 110 times are unsucessful.

If you wan to see best Mt Fuji. Just take JR Excursion train to Shimoyoshida Station. From Shimoyoshida Station walk to Arakurayama Sengen Park
Hike to top and reward will be the best Mt Fuji picture infront of you. (Need Luck also) (Cloudy, raining day , winter can give up)
My Try was 100 Times , 50 time sucess.

No. Too Far away from Tokyo. After adding transpotation cost, not worth.
People prefer Gotemba Premium outlet, since travel out from Tokyo, mights well go Gotemba.

If you take alot Metro per day then this pass is worth it.

Mt Hakkoda too small plus no light illumination on night.

Batik Air used Narrow body aircraft B737 Max ....seat pitch (legroom) are nice, Better than MAS, On par with ANA...can't beat JAL.
Weakness of Narrow Body are toilet part. Entire Economy Class only got 2 toilet serving 130 - 150 pax. If you not the type going Toilet often, this will be none issue for you.

Narita Airport got 2 good & 1 bad .....Good is This Airport only operation until 8.55pm, means no late night rush like Haneda. It got 1200 Yen cheap express bus from Narita to Shibuya / Ginza. Bad is......narita famous for wind Shear....Very windy airport, landing will be very rough, very bumpy, very high chances go around
if you are kind of passenger easy get dizzy, Narita gurantee you air sickness to the max. ....Free Roller Coaster Experience


Batik Air got IFE, but they will not provided any headphone, bring your own 3.5mm Jack headphone.

This Tour from Nagano > Tateyama Alpine Route > Nagano.....If this plan suit you then ok.
People who prefer Nagano > Tateyama Alpine Route > Toyama, then you had to DIY it, without any tour.

Narita are diffrent story. Because it was not an 24 hrs airport. It only operate until 8:55pm.
Schedule very tight due to many airlines coming in & out plus one day only got 14 hrs operation.
Narita doest allow any airlines suka suka change, it will be blacklisted.

Flew few times with Batik Air....On time , sometimes early 30 minute from schedule.

JR Local Train - 1170 Yen , 80 Minute Travel Time
JR Limited Express "Shinano" - 2700 Yen, 50 Minute Travel Time

Takayama got alot restraurant, snack, cafe & Onsen. Proper little town. Shirakawago got nothing, basically nothing. Dinner cooked by accomodation, once dinner done, That it, Ends, no more entertaiment, outside pitch black, nothing...no cafe, no restraurant, no entertaiment. If you like quiet, chill, super boring enviroment. Then can overnight at Shirakawago.
