I dunno why you guys so obsessed on seat resevation. Most people here are not going to Japan during Golden Week. Even you going on Golden Week, due to JR dirty trick, you also won't get a seat.

I been To Japan so many times, entire Forumer here combine also can't more than me. I never ever once in my whole life sit on full passenger train (Limited Express
& Shinkansen) except Golden Week. Even Airport Express (NEX, Keisei Skyliner, Haruka , Nankai) more than 300 times, not even once full.

Even the most popular Kintetsu Shimakaze & Hinotori also never ever full.

You guys here really kanasai......

AirAsia X no yet renew new contract flight to New Chitose Airport. This route has been stall since Pandemic.

JR Rail Pass covered Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka and Kyoto but JR train coverage in Osaka , Kyoto and Tokyo are crap, suxk. JR Rail Pass totally useless in Hakone. Kawaguchiko only Limited Express "Fuji Excersion"

Best pass for Osaka and Kyoto will be Amazing Kansai Pass but this pass cannot take JR train.

Tokyo are fully covered by Metro. 3 day unlimited metro pass will be the best but you can't take JR , Keikyu , Odakyu train.

Fuji will be Odakyu Fuji Free Pass. It covered entire Kawaguchiko and Hakone but you only limited to Odakyu.

JR pass not worth it if you just travel one way from Kyoto to Tokyo. JR Rail Pass cost Rm1.4k for 7 days.

Either Hitsumabushi Bincho or Maruya, both also taste average as my standard. 1st timer, maybe......but for old timer, I won't recommended.

Nagoya people like thick miso paste. Everthing in Nagoya sauce will be very strong & thick which really over coverd the original taste.
Plus Nagoya eel eating way called Hitsumabushi style.

BTW, today I lepak at Pavillion. I was so surprise, I found one of my favorite restraurant in Japan, Yayoi !!
Overall got surprise & disappoint. Surprise part was the price are exactly 1:1 to Yen. One set meal approx. 1000 - 1300 Yen & Malaysia are Rm40-60
Disappoint part are halal. Oh man......Japanese & halal are biggest enemy. Yayoi most famous , crowd jewel Trio Meat set are not available in Malaysia because of pork.
No serving alcohol

Don't trust those tyre shop rating / star.
Those price are slaugther tourist and taste can't even near to the real grill unagi master.
The real taste of Japan cuinary always in small shop / alley.

Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass holder are not allow to make any Reservation on Nohi Bus.

No need JR Rail Pass since you going one way from Osaka to Tokyo only.

Nara , Kobe , Kyoto are Keihan & Hankyu & City Subway Territory.
JR coverd very limited area.

Osaka are Nankai & Kintetsu & City Subway Territory.
JR coverd very limited area in Osaka city.
Best Line are Loop Line.

Tokyo are Keikyu , Seibu & City Subway Territory.
Best JR line are Yamanote Loop & Chuo Line. Suica / Pasmo / Icoca more worth.

Even Japan no more restrictions on Chinese but what had done already damage. Short period hard to see any big group of Chinese.

It will be very Punctual from Kanazawa. Unless got traffic accident at Takaoka to Kanazawa part.

From Kanazawa to Shirakawa highway are very dead. Very less traffic.

Pass holder cannot make any reservations. That the weakness of the pass. If you make reservations, you had to pay full fare.

Nohi bus center.
Kanazawa, Takaoka , Takayama

Nohi Bus Kamikochi route reservation only can be done by telephone.
