Based on my understanding:

1) Loading foreign currency that you intend to use allows you to monitor exchange rates and transfer funds when rates are favorable.
2) With a Wise debit card, transactions are deducted from the appropriate currency if available. Alternatively, the payment system may offer a choice. When the required currency is unavailable or insufficient, Wise will convert any available currency to fulfill the payment. The drawback of this approach could be unfavorable exchange rates.

question on power bar/strip - any idea if I can just use a standard 240 power bar with a Japan adapter ?

I know most laptop and electronic devices are now 100-240 but hope wont need to bring multiple small adapter

Please keep in mind that while we charge no fee for keeping luggages on both the check-in and check out date, for other days we charge 500yen/luggage/day.

I use Wise card, which allows me to transfer up to 30,000 yen per month (up to two withdrawal) without any fees - ATM provider will charge 220yen per transaction thou. Exchange rate is competitive (similar to https://www.xe.com/ + acceptable fees (saving from petrol + parking)

Can anyone recommend a hotel or Airbnb in Tokyo for a family of four that is in close proximity to either the Skyliner or Narita Express?

Also, can anyone advise if a puffy jacket with 600 loft duck down fill combined with a Uniqlo Heattech thermal, beanie, scarves will be sufficient for Sapporo in mid-December - mainly on around the city and otaru?

The jacket should be able to provide some form of water/wind resistant thou unsure if that will be sufficient for the season

Dont think I noticed any during my recent visit. Ended getting one near a matcha shop and the price is also on the fancy end
Heading over next month and hope to get something nice and cheaper
