QUOTE(Icehart @ Aug 13 2022, 11:15 AM) Actually, I anticipate there will be crazy demand for Japan when the border opens. Lots of people I've spoken to said they want to travel to Japan when border opens. If you are rich enough, the border is already open. Just need to pay a tour guide to follow you everywhere you go (Malaysia is on the blue list). This post has been edited by deodorant: Aug 14 2022, 04:10 PM yellowpika liked this post

QUOTE(zstan @ Aug 10 2022, 09:04 AM) prices should drop once borders are fully open. also depends on fuel prices. Prices will skyrocket once borders fully open, and will likely stay sky high for months (if not a year or more) cos of super high revenge travel demand. michaelchang liked this post

Speaking of theme parks, I’m seeing from trip blogs and etc that Disney and USJ is super crowded cos of revenge travel, anyone here who’s visited lately? I see some others say USJ is like 2hr queue for each ride without fast pass.

What’s the best way to find good restaurants that’ll accept my 3.5 year old? First time going JP with a kid, seems like all my previous experience is useless lol.
Currently browsing tabelog (gaijin version) and enabling the “kids are welcome” and “preschool children are welcome” filters. This post has been edited by deodorant: Jan 6 2023, 09:44 AM |

QUOTE(hjh87 @ Mar 14 2023, 08:31 PM) Hi Guys, Kansai full bloom forecast is 27-28 March so no problem.Just saw news, cherry blossom started today in Tokyo. Already bought ticket month ago, will this timing still able to see it? 26 to 29 March (Osaka & Kyoto) 1st to 6th April (Tokyo) Tokyo full bloom forecast is like 4 days from now so by the time you go it will be way past peak liao. |

So I am going to fly this Sunday.
Doing last minute checks and realized I booked 2 nights of my hotel ON THE WRONG DATE. Luckily still more than 3 days only pay 10% cancellation fee. But rebooking the new nights freaking expensive now. |

Just landed in KIX, nighttime arrivals seem very unpopular so immigration and customs were deserted.25 mins from time the aircraft reached the gate, to waiting for airport limo bus queue.

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 26 2023, 09:46 PM) You should take Nankai Airport Express to Namba. It operated until 12am. Not a fans of Airport Limo bus. BTW, Enjoys A lot different when you got young kid with you ba (cos of the tons of extra luggage and stuff that you have to bring). Luggage a lot easier to handle lol. |

Depends on your flight arrival timing whether it’s a popular or deserted one also. Last last Sunday night I flew into KIX around 9pm, within 30mins of aircraft reaching gate I’m already queueing for airport limo bus.
But other ppl arriving at 3pm around there took 3 hours to clear everything Anyway tomorrow is the end of my 1st trip to Japan with a small kid (3 years old) and it’s freaking ridiculous just how different it is from all my previous times where only me and wife. There were some days that I literally only have 2-3 hours of sightseeing time a day, more than 50% of my planning thrown out the window cos even the timing of when you can leave the hotel cannot control accurately one. tzxsean Tsukiji market relocated to toyosu many years ago lol. Anyway that itinerary feels super generic and “ticking off bucket list” sort, so you’d still need to do a lot more reading to adjust it to your own preferences.

QUOTE(tzxsean @ Apr 12 2023, 08:43 PM) I had time to draft my itinerary for first time travel in Tokyo. So packed, you planning to just touch n go everything meh. Day 1 ... Shinjuku Gyoen itself can easily take up half a day.I need some advices / suggestions on the schedule / location synergy if I should move things around for efficiency purposes. Other than that, I would love to hear some of the food recommendations around the area I'm visiting! Thank you. |
