QUOTE(sonotme @ Sep 25 2023, 03:41 PM) Some ppl propose in disneyland.. In kyoto how about the bamboo forest? But u gotta go early morning to avoid the crowd.. Kawaguchiko is touristy, and its sometimes hard to get the mt fuji view. If you dont mind climbing to the Chureito pagoda and propose 😅 Dont wan Disneyland or Universal Studio...too many people. Ya I was thinking Arashiyama (Bamboo Forest) too but need to go at 6-7am. Now the plan is where to get the flowers... Another place I can think of is Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in Tokyo. QUOTE(Stormflyer @ Oct 11 2023, 04:00 PM) Thanks for the reply. I hope no delay on my flight and baggage claim, else afraid cant get in time for the trains. Edit: Saw the vending machines selling Welcome Suica even though JR counter closes by 8pm. Eh? Vending machine got closing time? My arrival time is around 10pm...so after going through kastam and all probably can't make it for any trains..so I've plan to stay nearby hotel until the next morning. Thought will get the Welcome SUICA card at airport....but if close at 8pm then cannot adi

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 16 2023, 08:56 AM) Mask are no longer mandatory. Vending Machine is 24hrs. But more and more modern type vending machine no longer accept paper bill. It only takes coins / IC Cards ( Suica / Pasmo / ICOCA) Oh I misread..it's the JR counter that closes at 8pm, not the vending machine Is the covid case still serious in Japan compared to Malaysia? If I don't wear mask will I get discriminated?

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 24 2023, 09:11 AM) Japan biggest drug store "Matsumoto Kiyoshi" - Price for Hadalabo product around 680 - 1000 Yen (Not yet including 10% Sales Tax) Reach Total 5,000 Yen above can get that 10% tax refund. Sport & outdoor equipment I normally go Shinjuku "Alpen Group Sports Depo" ....largest store in Japan. Yonex badminton shoes around 11k - 15k Yen Racket around 22k - 26k Yen Professional Tournament string around 21k Yen Hmm...the badminton part doesn't seem much cheaper than Malaysia here but will go and take a look. Thanks for the recommendation!
