Anyone going to Japan before 29 November 2023 and want a cup of starbucks? 😄😄

Suppose to redeem today at Kansai Airport but Security Check long Q and already time for boarding. If no one want then it will be wasted 😄. Can redeem at any starbucks store in Japan (from what the starbucks barista told me just now)

just come back from Japan.
Review abit on Hello1010 since most of the review on shopee are just "shipping is fast" "packaging is good" etc

bought 2x Japan Go! 10GB 15 days.
Trip between 5th - 12th Nov 2023 (Osaka > Kyoto > Tokyo)
Roaming between Softbank & AU, overall at the city i visited got good coverage mostly 4G/4G+ (My phone no 5G)

CS by Hello1010 is quite fast as well
As 1 of the sim card run out of data, whatsapp their CS for troubleshoot and checking, replied within few min (during working hours)

I plan to rent bicycle at Kawaguchiko area and want to cycle to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine and maybe Arayayama shrine.

Was wondering usually where do they park the bicycle. At the car park?
Or possible to push the bicycle at the shrine area?

I read bicycle theft is a thing in Japan...
*
go earlyyyyyyyyy i mean earlyyyyy lol or book in advance if this an option. when i went there all the bike shop run of bike (on weekdays)
at the shop they have some tips/rules on where you can park your bike, i did not read it since there were no bike for me haha.

i only reach Kawaguchiko area around noon... guess there wont be bike for me...  sweat.gif
was planning to cycle to Maple corridor and stay till night time since there now festival and stall set up there due to autumn season...
if really no bicycle guess have to take Red line bus...

thanks for info... i will inquire them on the rules too...  notworthy.gif

ya all the bike shop within 15min from Kawaguchiko Station run out of bike when i was there around 11am. Maybe you can try find some thats are further away from the station or try hit them up to reserve it.
well as for the bus GG laugh.gif all red/green/blue super duper long queue to get on the bus and i overheard some say most of the sight seeing ticket sold out (not sure which one tho)
edit: was there on the 8th nov 23

side note: if you go Kawaguchiko by Highway-Bus, buy 2-way ticket (if thats possible) or first thing you do when reach Kawaguchiko go queue for bus ticket back to where you from.
i almost got stranded haha coz i did not buy 2 way ticket and when i started to queue to buy Highway-Bus ticket only remain few seats

I used MAS business class to Tokyo on 11th Nov. After taking so many different business classes for MH flights, the one to Narita was the best for me, maybe because it was a long haul. Of course, the experience can't beat SQ business class when I took it to Istanbul.

MH finally has free WiFi for all classes effective 1st Nov, but not all flights, but the one to Narita has. So I got to enjoy and post my stuff on IG or in Tokyo. laugh.gif The food is good now, so I have no complaints.

I returned from Tokyo a few days ago, just a short trip but it was such a memorable trip. I wish it were longer, but we are returning to Japan again next year, hopefully in March. biggrin.gif

how much does it cost?

Same like mine but I got from another seller. Anyway, I set it up before I flew out from Malaysia. Once reached Tokyo, like I was still above the sky, I already turned data roaming on and it detected the signal. laugh.gif
Anyway, with our high inflation in Malaysia especially I reside in KL, I really don't find stuff in Japan expensive anymore. Yen also drops a lot and that is an advantage also. I find everything in Japan is so affordable and cheap to an extent compared to last two trips to Japan. I came back from HK in July and that was really expensive. For example, the entrance ticket to Disneyland HK was RM 450 but I paid around RM 270 for Disneysea (Disneyland also the same price) from Klook during 10.10 sales. We also bought two premium passes in Disneysea to get fast access, yeah that's expensive but well for time saving and you can do without it.

A bowl of ramen is only 850 yen and I pay more in KL actually. A bottle of Evian mineral water is like 120 yen or something, we can't get that price in Malaysia. Totally won't mind going back to Japan for a holiday again. So, next year we will go again. biggrin.gif

About 6 days with some shopping, we only spent less than RM 4k for two persons (food, cafe visits, souvenirs, shopping, transportation in Tokyo). We didn't skim on food etc.
*
hmm about price im not too sure as this is my first time go Japan but regarding food is quite expensive imo
for example for food like any normal restaurant or shop at mall normal ramen/don/rice is around 1000 yen/rm32, while in malaysia you still get it for around rm10-15 range
if is sets like with side dish, soup etc can easily go up to 1500-2000 yen.

but on the other hand for other stuff like gadget/IT product/toys/anime/model etc etc all the price are pretty similar with the one you can get in malaysia

where did you find Evian for 120yen? haha usually i saw is around 150 or higher
but ngl their bottle water are pretty cheap if you willing to carry around, as a 2L mineral water is only 65 yen
and their alcohol at konbini is cheaper than duty free at KLIA hahah biggrin.gif

I redeemed my airmiles and paying around RM 700 for taxes.
If purchase the ticket outright is around RM 10k one way.

Anyway, I couldn't redeem any tickets for my return flight as the flight was fully booked. So I utilized my free credit from AAX, finally got rid of AirAsia. Not gonna take AA anymore unless it is a domestic flight or super short trip like to Singapore.

Japan, I cannot, the seats are so small even though I paid for extra legroom for the first row.
Talking about Japan SIM card, I got eSIM from Shopee and worked well in Tokyo but no 5G, just 4G, however good enough and fast. biggrin.gif
Free WiFi is everywhere though. Still, you need a data on mobile for convenience. No need a lot of data because not gonna use a lot.
*
damnnn the price is like almost same cost as my whole japan trip hahah

for flight i cheapskate lol found a cheap flight from KUL > SGN > KIX for rm750 per pax via VietJet
got around 7 hours to explore HCM

Food you really have to hunt OR go to places like Sukiya, you can get beef bowl for 3-400 yen. I've been few times so I know quite a few places in Tokyo. Like Unatoto is place for unagi rice only 500+yen.
*
ya i mean sure i can find like 500 yen ramen etc but in general prices for food are quite expensive in most restaurant at Japan if you dont purposely look for budget restaurant
haha even in family mart some chicken sandwich can go for 400-500 yen while in malaysia family mart still below rm10
