hm.....just wanna ask...wheres the best place to buy a Proton Car?
mutiara damansara ok ka? near my house?
how bout service centre?
which is the best?
*
depends ler...

some say this SC / SA good but other will say otherwise....

see where u are comfortable with.....

i brought mine in COE and service it in taman mayang.. so far this combo is not giving me any service nightmare and the SC is more personalised compared to the bigger ones...

initially i wanted to get the Myvi....so i went to the showroom in uptown. then i thought might as well give Proton a chance so i went to see the proton edar  in ss14. i liked the design (exterior and interior ) so much i decided to get it instead> then when i went to book the car< the proton persona was just launched!! i think will settle for Neo la
interesting that both same engine and almost same weight. but i guess Neo's handling won me over
*
lol
guess u are a driver kind of person since u say the handling won u over...

lucky u are not like those who buy the godlike car and then try to corner fast fast as tho they are driving the real deal...

QUOTE(jVIPERs2 @ Aug 22 2007, 02:42 PM)
The LED do look nice on the car...
But I still prefer the crop circle design...looks unique...
If oni there is a LED version for the crop circle design...  laugh.gif
Yeah, Potong Potong...
Go get yourself an ice-cream potong instead of bashing here...

i lol-ed

QUOTE(leowhy @ Aug 22 2007, 02:55 PM)
one thing is for sure... the boot space is very big & deep... biggrin.gif

another thing... the rear seats can be folded but not completely flat... and there is 2 metal panels portruding (to protect rear speakers i presume) after the seats being folded down... i felt the edges to be quite sharp... so its advisable that owner pay some attention to that part...
*
the metal thing where they put the speakers ? thats my gripe too.... they should at least cover it up instead of just leaving the thing wide open, u can even see the speaker wire dangling...

Can fit in single-person spring mattress or not?

I could fit in medium sized washing machine and a couple of thin foam mattresses with the rear seat folded. I guess persona can do better than that hehe.

The feature is very useful.
*
i believe it can.... the boot space is just a wee bit smaller then the city's space only...

if u remember a few years back, honda held a creative day with your city thingy?
one person transform his city into his young daughter bedroom..... complete with 1 mattress, her soft toys etc....

Muz hav a look at City's...

Wow...can fit in mattress...  thumbup.gif
Promote "some activity" in car...  tongue.gif
*
not to say sub 60k car can cover up or not, its more like those tiny tiny minor things like this that can make the difference sometimes....
tongue.gif

city speaker area is padded up.... altho thin but at least its covered up, same goes to vios

who complain if u not satisfy with the govn and cannot do anything... ?
if u dunno what to do, i'm also a very kind ppl... i can tell u 3 ways to do it...

1) Go stay and buy car in langkawi
2) migrate to other country
3) Form a party and ask ppl to vote for u.... den u become govn so waive all the tax... we all here will be very happy too smile.gif

if all the above are not applied to u.... pls get ur ass out of here if u still discuss about TAX, govn,
or economics..... this is proton persona discussion thread

Ha... first time heard that in this forum discussion have loser and winner.... laugh.gif
People like you alway stay right there and do nothing or "lap people shoe" without self improvement!!!
*
lol at you real hard.....
lap people shoe ?
i lol-ed.... more like ur type of people are the ones that cannot make improvement, hence the bashing and all...

dude, u are staying in malaysia and u need to abide by the rules of this country, not happy ? then go and do something about it instead of blaming on everything, like eng98 says, go make a political party and make changes...
rolleyes.gif

driving a proton does not make u any lower then those who drive toyota's and honda's or bmw... its their choice of vehicle that they want to own / fit their requirements..

why i drive a neo,
simple,
i got 50k budget, and i want a car to replace my previous ride
my requirement:
1) good handling, stock from factory
2) 2-doors
3) brand new
4) airbags / abs
5) FC is not a concern to me

now tell me... can the godlike myvi fit my requirements (even if i take out the 2-doors requirement?)
or can city or vios (selling at 50k) fit my requirements (even if i take out the 2-doors requirement?)

not to say vios or city is lousy car, but in this case they dont fit my requirements....
doh.gif

there is civic ek/eg to consider but they are out of the question cuz i want a new car, not second hand...

so yeah...
anything else to add ?

QUOTE(akxj @ Aug 22 2007, 06:27 PM)
guys .. just test drived.. there is so many posts, cant reply to certain post..

anyway, i drove the car, and never the less somehow the TCU is a little better then gen-2's tcu .. altho i find it a little noisy when i pedal down(not all the way to the metal tho) .. the back seats are a disaster .. really hope somehow the seats behind will get a little softer as it may be a little more comfy then..

other than that, honestly i find the car quite worth a bargain.. its design is really nice.. and i prefer this anytime over gen2 (of cos neo is nicer) .. and well .. the low end torque problem is rather fixed but of cos not perfect.. i guess i'm comparing this to my bmw (i test drove with my parents) .. i dont really know what else to comment about the car.. my parents will do booking only 2 weeks after (due to the ghost month.. dont ask =/ ) ..

and the H line boot(speaker area) is covered..both HL and ML .. only the LL isnt.. on the ML and HL you can only see a 2 wires hanging out which isnt obvious because its pretty hidden from a standing person's view..

i'm new in this car stuff .. sorry if i said anything wrongly =)
hmm .. i dont really like the Waja..and waja should be more expensive right?
*
hmmm, they covered the speaker area already ?
now thats fast.....
tongue.gif

cuz during launching, all the persona model from HL to LL did not have the speaker covered

QUOTE(ymjay @ Aug 22 2007, 06:54 PM)
hypermount : just ignore them la.... no matter what is said and done, there are many out the who will have bad things to say. I myself am sick and tired of the cut and paste kind of comments given about Proton. its always the same thing : toyota this toyota that or Honda this Honda that
i really have no qualms about people who prefer japanese cars but it does not mean that your constant stream of abuses at Proton would gain anything

no cars are perfect and perhaps proton had their fair share of problems in the past. however, with the newer cars like savvy and Neo ( which are rated quite ok in the Uk and Aus.), it shows that they are improving. No point talking about how other brands are better..... Not many can afford other cars

since this thread is on the persona and many come here to see the comments on this car....please do it fairly. its boring to hear stuff like
gen2 is shit or proton sucks kinda comments. If u hate and despise it so much, just leave it alone. unless u own a Persona and u have problems with it then perhaps others might want to hear about it

Yes, I totally agreed with you...it is totally depend on your own budget and your own requirement...
we cannot force anyone for their own like, right?
I think I should stop...if not you will dislike me....ha... nod.gif

no la.... just kasi add my view a lil

true like what u say, no tax and fair play see who prefer which brand

oh yea, the gears shifts quite fast actually ..  little over 3000revs ...(for normal pedal hitting of cos)
agreed! the suspension especially.. it feels so nice at bumps biggrin.gif
haha i think i do.. well .. the car isnt only for me ..its for overall family use as well .. plus, as much as i love the design for neo .. i just dont like the fact that its 2 door =) i dont really fancy 2 door cars tho it looks much better..
hmm .. when i see the car one day after launching .. its already covered .. in fact .. my parents told me that its not covered only for the BL(during the launch day at the taipan showroom)  =) maybe they did a mistake biggrin.gif
yeap =) the back seat's leg space is actually just like normal .. just that the boot is big la .. but i wld prefer larger leg space over the boot area .. thats just me =) cos i ever really find much use for a large boot .. biggrin.gif
*
woah, so fast they covered up... that means the show unit is it they make it just for display only ?
