ahhh..ic..hmm...then i wonder why so many ppl go get bigger rims for??
for the makeup?
but isnt it more traction on the road, you have more grip hence pickup is better....then also since it is bigger, then lesser turning of the wheels...hahaa..i doono how to explain. emm...for example, 1 revolution of 16" say let ur car move 50cm. so means 18" will go further than 50cm.
get what i mean? means seen revolution lesser means the wheel spin lesser then FC actually do decrease rite?
hahahhahaahhahahahhah....
*
bigger rims is for more traction yes
but if for example your engine is just a 1.6.... there is only that big a rims u can put before u suffer from performance hit / FC increase.......

QUOTE(eagle.ng @ Aug 23 2007, 09:51 AM)
wat is the RPM when is reach 80km/h and 110km/h?
*
auto i am not sure

for manual @ 5th gear
80 km/h is 2.5k region
110 km/h is 3 k region

QUOTE(Nel @ Aug 23 2007, 09:52 AM)
lastnight when i went to shopping and i saw the persona showing!! touch is and a bit excited !! hoho
just my personal opinion without test drive la.
overall a lot improvement than satria neo, door shutting sound is consider good, better then some Korean car. equal quality as vios la !! side panel is good features and that should provide ages ago anyway its here better nothing! but still the design and quality catcat one~ like toys looks very rough touching this need to improve !
come to the comfortable level of the seats, i give 6/10. consider pass la. even it using leather seat also 6.1/10. as some features beside it.  but this seat sure got little better then neo.  with my height pull seat to backward and surely anyone like me cannot seat comfortable la, but at least honda city still ok with that. but it is a lot improvement as i dont feel i hit my head anymore.

alright lastnight i only have 10minutes to look at that, so next time will go test drive !!!

if my dad want to trade in the old car i will ask him to consider to buy this car for a very comfortable price for me. but then engine and FC still the big problem but then my hometown is just a small small place SIBU~so no worries about that~
*
yeah, the seating wise and interior improvement is better then neo.... its more comfortable now...

Pity to Proton Pesona. This morning i just received a mail from my fren regarding this issue.

Really embarrassing. This is for Proton Pesona. It supposed to have one
fuel gauge and one temperature gauge. Now this cluster got 2 fuel gauges.
Found in the launching car somewhere in Kuching.

Pls refer below attachment :-
*
that if i am not mistaken, is a pre-production car.....
3 of this car has error and it has seen been fix...

QUOTE(nonadoes @ Aug 23 2007, 09:58 AM)
then what is the best rim size for the persona?
*
since persona is a more comfort oriented setup, i think 16" is the max......
205/45/R16 tyre size should be the max....

some one correct me if i am wrong..
thanks.

as its 1.6L engine, i would say its slightly on the high side?  unsure.gif
i would expect
80 km/h is less or equal 2.0k region
110 km/h is less or equal 3.0k region
anyway, just my tought... coz i never ever once saw how a campro engine perform...
or are u refering to your neo?
maybe persona's "improved" TCU will change that slightly?

kakakaka... the dual fuel gauge thingy... previously i only heard... so its real... tongue.gif
but like u said... its pre-production car... as long as they make it right for customer cars then its not a big deal... smile.gif
*
yeap i am refering to my neo as comparison cuz its a campro...
same engine...

i dunno about the TCU cuz i din really take note when i test drive ther persona....

nope, even a 1.3 carb iswara at 100 km/h is at 3k rpm region... i believe it should be quite standard in alot of cars...

3k rpm at cruising speed gives the balance between FC and power.... <-- this is my opinion la

throughout my monitoring so far...

i will get 2krpm at 80km/h and 2.5krpm at 100km/h (1.5L 1NZ-FE with the 4-speed AT... u know what car lah... tongue.gif)
last time for my wira aeroback... i got 3krpm at ~100km/h and almost ~4krpm if i try to go for 120-130km/h region (thats 1999 wira aeroback 1.5 GLI with 3-speed AT)

but yes... 2krpm for ~80-100km/h is the general sweet spot for good fuel efficiency for most common vehicles... smile.gif
*
YARIS !!!!!!!
brows.gif

i go penang u not free to come out drink
doh.gif

i think why u get so low rpm could be due to the OD.... i believe ur car have OD right ?

same like the honda accord la 150 km/h at 3k rpm
shocking.gif

the weight of the neo and persona is roughly the same albeit the persona being longer and bigger... why's that? 1k kg is rather heavy for neo
almost the same with bigger cars like altis
*
cuz of the reinforced steel structure thing............
thats why...

but the neo chasis is good to handle engine up to 2.0 without any mod

wahaha
maybe after the warranty can try to transplant engine
muahaha....

but petrol expensive la bro...its better to have tiny cc cars these days
so 1.6 still ok for me
*
depends on people la....

some people wan to save petrol, so their options is to buy cars that consume lesser fuel
some people want big engine and fuel guzzlers
tongue.gif

etc...

but bear in mind there is no such things as performance yet consume less fuel ar
tongue.gif

want u can do to conserve fuel in your car is not to have a super heavy right foot....
tongue.gif

alot of noobs people dun understand this...

Paultan say proton booking has reached more than 8000. Wow!
Sure good news indeed for proton. Hopefuly quality wise no problem.

http://paultan.org/archives/2007/08/23/ove...proton-persona/
*
yeah indeed is a good news...

i just hope that they dont rush production to meet demand.... just keep the QC up to mark...

in my view, judging from the booking, i think the HL is the one that is being snapped up most..
55k with dual airbags, abs, ebd with a super large boot area and its a sedan....
the public is indeed waiting for this....
instead of 55k for a vehicle with an almost non-existant boot space
whistling.gif

now proton better not let this 8k booking within 1-2 weeks of launching get into their head or we can see the all too familiar fall from grace again

WTF!!!! 8k bookings...hahaha... nevermind, i'm planning to get a new car next year anyway. so hope that can get the persona by january or february...

tips on buying a car... never buy car at end of the year, u lose one year value when it comes to resale... i kena once, bought my wira in december and my brother bought it in january, when i want to sell the car, my brother car fetch better price coz they consider my car is one year older...
*
depends, some people want a car that can be used until the car is literally a scrap metal..
so hence they buy the dec batch in january...
tongue.gif

since previous year batch will have discount too

NO..205/45/16 is Out..your meter is underreading. 205/45/16 is those WiraSE...it suit MyVi well too, upgrade from 175/65/14 to 205/45/16

For 16", the best is 205/50/16.
Better looks, 18"--> 225/35/18 !! You may have a hard time to source for this odd side tyre..
*
i mean the optimum size apart from stock that will fit persona without scarificing comfort and FC
tongue.gif

18" is over kill dun u think ?

So with the delay of the delivery of persona with lack of Hi Lines, will this be another myvi scenario back in 2005 when it was launched? Will the Proton SA will become richer by undertable money schemes? Hmmm wink.gif

undertable will be rampant.... this is for sure gonna happen...

Oh no..Persona wins hand down.

Try to drive >90km/h, the grip is terrible...and noisy cabin. And pls...don't ever recommend change to bigger rims, eg:17" low profile for better grip...it is bumpy!
No hard feeling ya..this is my opinion.

not to say persona is the perfect car....
unlike a certain car owners that think that certain car is godlike and flawless...
whistling.gif

there is still alot of areas persona can further improve on...
like the rear seat for example... they could have make it more comfortable...

but for starters, lets give credits where its due... the quality of the material used has improved over the previous few model...

so just wait and see when more persona's is delivered to the owners....
