vmad.gif  rclxm9.gif  I've said many times..Proton is being taxed heavily too. If Gomen is sincere want to protect Proton 100%, there would not tax and duties..if Proton dies - other cars will still get taxed heavily to offset the gomen lost of revenue in Proton's absence, very easy to make money..I made it simple in English understand?

I bought the Savvy for RM42888 in 2005, it would cost only RM 32k without tax and duties..we ould get gen.2 or waja at near 30k and over 40k?

Savvy lite manual 2007 on the road price!
RM33k

Without tax and duty
RM29k

RM51k w/o tac duty for waja campro auto

Gen.2 Hi line manual

only RM42k compare to Rm56k original price.

I mean if I were to purchase a Persona frm PE, would I be getting the same thing if I get it frm EON instead???
Or can either company offer me better 'packages'???

Actually I don't really get the difference between EON or PE cars. Some says EON cars undergo more stringent PDI (pre-Delivery Inpection) check hence less probs with EON cars. Bought my savvy from EON, no probs so far, very reliable, 4 months to go for the car to become 2-year old.
*
Can't say Savvy coz Savvies frm both company also does not have problems so far right???

How about after sales and services. Can you service your car at PE service center if you buy your car from EON?
*

[/quote]
Defintely can! After you have used up your EON free service vouchers.

If you have this kind of voucher which can be used at both SC, you can send ur car to PE straight away.

Most owners will not bring their cars back for service once the warranty period expires due to higher prices...
Is it true???

QUOTE(kcng @ Aug 23 2007, 08:46 PM)
ya kah ?
let me check mine too then
tongue.gif

btw your city is what year wan ?

mine is the 2004 batch
tongue.gif

the very first idsi batch
tongue.gif
yeah indeed is a good news...

i just hope that they dont rush production to meet demand.... just keep the QC up to mark...

in my view, judging from the booking, i think the HL is the one that is being snapped up most..
55k with dual airbags, abs, ebd with a super large boot area and its a sedan....
the public is indeed waiting for this....
instead of 55k for a vehicle with an almost non-existant boot space
whistling.gif

now proton better not let this 8k booking within 1-2 weeks of launching get into their head or we can see the all too familiar fall from grace again
*
The one I saw is of Dec 2006 batch... wink.gif

Hopefully they're already a wake...
Not juz a desperate move to make money then forget the main purpose of car making...

QUOTE(sasaug @ Aug 23 2007, 08:48 PM)
My dad just bought one....he choose the solid white and they say the colour need to wait till september baru ada production....
*
Kesian...that will be a very long wait for u then... sweat.gif

QUOTE(yangsangfook @ Aug 23 2007, 08:49 PM)
3 months waiting?
maybe some will cancel it when the new vios came on time..
i just feel its a lil bit too long to wait for a local car..
anyway i like this car too coz its sedan..
*
Hahaha!!!
If it was me, I will pay extra 1+K for a similar product juz so my wait is cut short... tongue.gif

8000 may not be a good news. Proton only expecting around 4K per month now they need to push for quantity, otherwise people on the waiting list may have to wait along time for their car (now it's already 3+ month). When pushing for volume, sometimes the quality factor may be get push aside (this apply to all manufacturer) in order to meet the demand.

The good news the Proton plant can meet the demand since it is a big plant. They also phased out the Wira already so there should be enough resource to meet the demand
*
Malaysians don't mind waiting months for a new car... tongue.gif
Look at the god-like car...the waiting list went to 6months at one time...

Nothing wrong with that. Instead of spending RM500M making a brand new one they just spent RM25M
a good job too
*
Yeah, and keeping the price @ RM55K...not 75K... tongue.gif

QUOTE(ymjay @ Aug 24 2007, 11:03 AM)
i wonder how many cars Proton can produced per month
if sales of the Persona is indeed past the 8k mark then i have no idea when i will receive my neo..
*
I once read that the Tg Malim plant can produce 100K or 200K units/year...
So should be no problem to produce other models as well...

QUOTE(eagle.ng @ Aug 24 2007, 11:11 AM)
cut cost-mah!!!
new design iswara will replace OLD ISWARA CAR on next year tooo...
Just wonder will they use same design from Persona or not?
*
Yeah, make a smaller/shorter version of Persona...
Oh wait, that's the Gen2... sweat.gif

yeah taiko says all rclxms.gif

So with the delay of the delivery of persona with lack of Hi Lines, will this be another myvi scenario back in 2005 when it was launched? Will the Proton SA will become richer by undertable money schemes? Hmmm wink.gif
*
Hmmm...hard to say, but I don't think it'll happen as H-Line production is stalled due to alarm problems...not lack of H Line lacking...

QUOTE(bobbychin @ Aug 24 2007, 06:38 PM)
1 thing i wonder la..other car manufacturer always come up with cars more and more expensive compared to the previous, but how come proton cars are getting cheaper and cheaper compared to the previous?

things are getting expensive, but the car getting cheaper...i really doubt the quality.
*
Well, maybe Proton is taking another approach...
Instead of going for profit, they're going after quantity to win back market share... icon_rolleyes.gif

Many have complained about this as well...
Maybe it's due to the foldable function...

QUOTE(kcng @ Aug 25 2007, 12:16 AM)
in neo, the sound insulation from the engine bay is so-so only....

but for persona, since its tune for comfort, the sound insulation from the engine is definitely better then the ones found on the neo...
the engine sound for the persona is much more quieter / nicer compared to neo
tongue.gif
*
I think they purposely use less...coz it's supposed to be a sporty hatch ma, so need to let the driver hear the engine sound... tongue.gif

Bonnet got sound proofing le laugh.gif
*
It is, especially if u visit IKEA often... tongue.gif
Will the insulation on the hood cover make much difference on the engine noise???
