For those who got the i5, any reason didn't stick with the cheaper i3 ? Been trying to read / watch review ... but didn't find anything definitive except for "future proofing" which I don't buy into.

Only using for light tasks, ie whatever can be done on iPad.
If you don't plan to run Virtual Machine related software (VMWare, Parallels, Docker) then it doesn't really make a lot of difference. More importantly, spec for min 256 GB SSD, 128 GB is slow(er) and will fill up quickly if you have any photos or video files.
