Been researching on paper texture screen protectors too. Have read about the common issues with wearing out the pen nib faster, screen is little fuzzy due to texture.
Can find some a lot of good opinions on reddit ipad page, but from what i got out of it of using the paperlike - unless you're a full-time artist drawing on it everyday, nib should still last quite awhile for the average user - a year or more before needing to replace the nib.
Also have read opinion on the the original brand and many say its just overpriced and marketted well and not too much different to generic brand ones. Few have said a Japanese version under 'Elecom' brand is slightly cheaper and better - but can't quite find seller here.
A colleague of mine got a generic brand one recently for their iPad air and says no issues with it so far.
So I decided to get the most popular one selling on Lazada - Benks brand (rm38+). will see how it is when i receive it.
Hey thanks for sharing the info on the Benks and Elecom, could really filter out the many options out there and eventually wastages.
Not familiar w reddit though.
I'm very eager to try writing for notes and ideas, that's why decided to bite the bullet in an Ipad experience after coming from Ms Surface.
But writing on glass is definitely going to be weird i think.
Funny you say pen nibs, haven't seen them for sale. Apple store?
Please share your review once you have them! Thanks.
Regarding the casing - I've seen 2 types that could still use with the keyboards:
a) coverbuddy - simple thin case, which can't be found in Malaysia at the moment
b) UAG Scout - looking more rugged type
